Who is eligible for these COVID-19 oral antiviral therapeutics?
Pfizer Paxlovid is authorized for adults and pediatric patients 12 years or older who weigh at least 88 pounds with a positive COVID-19 test and who are high risk for progression to severe COVID-19, Currently the COVID-19 antiviral medication is not authorized for children under the age of 12.
Merck Molnupiravir is authorized only in adults 18 years of age or older with who have a positive COVID-19 test and who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19, including hospitalization or death for whom alternative COVID-19 treatment options authorized by the FDA are not accessible or clinically appropriate.
We will only provide the authorized COVID-19 antiviral medication for the populations for which they are authorized. Customers should speak with their doctor, pharmacist, or healthcare provider for individual health needs and questions.
If you are pregnant or have preexisting liver diseases, liver enzyme abnormalities or liver inflammation, discuss your options and specific situation with your healthcare provider.
How is high risk defined under the EUA?

Which COVID-19 oral antiviral therapeutics does DX Daily Store and Sam’s Club offer?
DX Daily Store will continue to only dispense FDA-authorized antiviral treatments for eligible individuals. At this time, we are offering Pfizer’s Paxlovid and Merck’s Molnupiravir medications that have been authorized via an emergency use authorization by the FDA.
Is there a cost to the authorized COVID-19 antiviral medication? If so, what is the price?
The federal government is providing the COVID-19 oral antiviral treatments at no cost to individuals. COVID-19 tests are at an additional cost.
Are all major customer insurance carriers accepted?
Yes, insurance will cover the dispensing cost of COVID-19 antiviral medications.
What do I need to bring to the pharmacy for the COVID-19 oral antiviral therapeutics?
Once your prescription is ready, please bring your ID and insurance card (red, white, and blue card if over 65) if you have one to the curbside pick-up or pharmacy drive-thru.
Why do I need to provide my insurance information if the authorized COVID-19 antiviral medications are at no cost?
The Federal government is providing these medications at no cost. In accordance with federal guidelines, DX Daily Store, like most other providers, is billing applicable insurers / government plans for the dispensing of the medications only, not the actual medications.
