gluten free, not too salty, great flavor
Not too salty, great chicken flavor, gluten free, no msg added easy to scoop from 3" in diameter container 2 tsp = 1 cup broth 5 calories per teaspoon I use one tsp to make a cup of chicken broth as a warm beverage add to water base when boiling pasta, making gravy / soup Living in the city in an apt and we don't own a car, I look for products with multiple uses. Orrington Farms bases are light weight and taste great; plus I don't have carry home containers of liquid broth.

Good alternative: salty
This kind of reminds me of a ramen noodle flavoring packet, but not in a bad way. We typically use the liquid broth concentrate, but haven't been able to find it recently. This powder was a decent substitute, and seems much better than the cubes. I used it in some soup and it turned out well but a little more salty than I intended.

Must try. All of my friends have switched.
I cook a lot, and for a large amount of people. This bullion is by far the best I have ever come a crossed. It adds the most wonderful flavor to all of my recipes. This bullion is not a hard block or hard to scrape out. It is a semi moist powder that I don't have to refrigerate. so it dissolves very quickly are you.

    Love this product!!
I have tried many many broth bases. I prefer the powder over water for multiple reasons. This is the BEST one ever. And I cook every day and use broth most of the time especially in rice pilaf. So believe me that in the 40 years of cooking when I say I haven't found one that tastes as good as this one. I have told all my family and friends about this brand and now they all use it too!

More versatile than liquid stock and tastes good.
When it comes to stocks and broth bases I only use organic or non GMO with no additives. Although not organic, this stuff is great. It's a nice clean powder consistency that breaks down easily and the container is much larger than some of the other brands. I used to get liquid stocks and then only use part of them and of course they'd go bad if I didn't end up using them soon after. This is why I prefer a dry powder, it's shelf stable for a really long time and doesn't require refrigeration. Plus you can just spoon out as much as you need for stronger or lighter broth and it breaks down better than boullion cubes while also not leaving behind any chunks or pebbles. I also like that you can also just sprinkle it over food for flavoring. Great price for a good chicken broth base.

    My Favorite Broth
Most broth is high sodium and loaded with MSG. There is NO MSG in this broth! Tastes like a lovely flavorful chicken.

    decent flavor base-- good price
i used to prefer a different higher priced brand of granule chicken base.. but Orrington Farms is a decent tasting flavoring for a good price. lots of salt but that is an expected ingredient . i use a different brand in some recipes, but this is a tasty base for many uses--- some in noodles, potatoes or veggies while cooking or to zing up a bland dish with a sprinkle. i seldom use salt alone when cooking so this provides that without overpowering a dish. i like it for cooking but not for a sipping-broth beverage-- just make your own cooking broth for that as it is easy and less chemical laden.

    Soup base
I've used this and other similar products for years. Great to make a stock if needed. Add onion powder, garlic powder, parsley chunk chicken an noodles and you have a BETTER cup of soup. Mix with ground turkey/chicken for grat meatloaf/burgers

Great for quick Egg Foo Yung Soup
I use Orrington Farms Chicken Flavor broth Base and seasoning to make a quick Egg Foo Yung Soup. I mix 4 teaspoons of Broth Base, 2 cups of hot water, 1/2 cup of egg beaters, 1 or 2 sprig of fresh basil, Lawry's garlic with parsley salt, and fresh ground Peppercorns to taste. Eat with 4 to 5 each Keebler Pita Chips. This makes for a nice light, and satisfying lunch.
