It is perfect for my small business, and daughter!
This is my first latop, and Asus product. I love it, the simplicity of opening the box and setting it up was very easy. I bought this because my chromebook did not have windows, which I needed for work. I love the backlit keyboard, a necessity for me now. In my opinion the only drawback is the battery life. With my chromebook, I could easily get 8-10 hours use, not with this. Also the charging cord, is the only way to charge it. You can't plug in a USB C cable as an alternative, to charge. this is just a minor issue for me, but may not be for others. I am going to give this to my daughter, and I will get the new one. She has finally outgrown her chromebook as well, since she now games. It took 15 years for her to start gaming so I think, she has earned a real gaming laptop. She loves this laptop also, she just wanted a disc drive in one. So she could watch her movies, but with streaming services, and our cloud collection she doen't need a drive. I would recommend this to anyone, I think it's perfect for my small business, and for my daughter. I don't game but my 15 y/o daughter does, and uses this notebook.

Great laptop but specs are wrong
Overall, this is an excellent deal. I like how fast and responsive it feels. Beware though, the memory is soldered to the motherboard and there's no expansion slot so you are stuck with 8GB. Walmart lists this as having Wifi6 in the specs which it does not come with. You will need to buy your own AX200 card to have Wifi6.

    Beautiful, feature-loaded laptop
Purchased an ASUS on the recommendation of a friend when I expressed my frustration with HP. It is a feature loaded bargain for the price. Display is beautiful and crisp, sound is awesome, and backlit keyboard is convenient. I especially like the larger keys. I had previously owned HP for over 20 years, but after using this, I will never return to HP. Has everything that I need- speedy processor, lightweight, and not loaded with bloat wear. I would not hesitate to recommend Asus.

What a great experience all around.
This is a beautiful laptop. I have bought nothing but HP for over 20 years, but after a runaround from HP about an order, I cancelled the order and on a recommendation from a friend, went with ASUS. The processor is speedy. I love the backlit keyboard. I have read some complaints about the display, but I think it is crisp and clear. The sound is wonderful. I am still getting used to the keyboard lacking a number pad, but wow do I like the big letters on the keys (and the size of the keys). I received it yesterday, but so far, it exceeds my expectations. It appears to be sturdy. It has very little bloatware and was easy to set up. The only complaint is the charger cord - it is very lightweight and short. The speed with which Walmart and its supplier shipped the order was impressive. I had shopped around and found that Walmart had the best price for this computer...better than those on the ASUS website. I have not installed Windows 11 yet and so far there has been little trouble installing Chrome which I prefer to Edge. BTW, I am a senior citizen and find this computer very easy to use.

    Would recommend.
Yes, this really does sit on my lap. That being said, I love the fact that it runs cool, is light weight and ran it all day before I realized I forgot to plug it in. Very little bloatware so was up and running in no time. Screen size is perfect for my field of vision. This is my first SSD and will never go back to a hard drive, this is much faster when it comes to tasks. Full disclosure, my wife has this model, and it runs circles around my 8 gig of memory, 1T hard drive Dell. It is now sitting on a shelf.

    Quality and Price
I like the brand of the Asus, it's a decent computer. It has fast speed, decent price and the quality of this computer is okay for the price. I didn't like that there were no setup instructions , and the size of screen. It is not large enough for my viewing., I wish the screen size were bigger. There are some advantages to having a smaller screen, it is more compact for traveling. If I could make this purchase over again I would get a larger screen, I would be much happier with viewing.

I purchased this back in March and have been using it since it arrived. It is perfect for what I need! I use it for different school work, light gaming, some 3D programs, and browsing. I'm not very tech oriented, so this was recommended to me and I'm glad it was. Well worth the price.

Average computer that deserves your consideration
There's a lot to like about this laptop, especially considering the price; however, considering some of the negatives, I would rate this a mediocre computer. Let me be more specific. Generally, the performance is adequate to good. Multitasking is relatively quick, and someone using this computer for general duty tasks will find the computer meeting their needs. There is one big exception. The wifi on the computer is very bad. Epically bad. I had to purchase a wifi adapter because, giving the video conferencing demands of the pandemic, this computer was not capable of performing acceptably. After several months on missed meetings and playing with a new router, wifi extenders, etc., I finally realized the problem was with the computer's wifi. Since purchasing the adapter, the computer has performed much better. There are still occasion issues, but I'm now able to do my work without making tons of excuses and using my phone for video conferencing. Aside from this issue (and I consider it a pretty big problem), the computer is a good size, is able to run several programs simultaneously, and is comfortable and lightweight. If it weren't for the wifi issues, this computer would be a great deal at this price point. Even with these issues, it's worth considering. If you are deciding between this computer and comparable HP computers, I would definitely recommend this ASUS computer over inferior HP products.
