Great Hedger!
We already had the 20V battery(ies) from the weedeater and leaf blower from this Black and Decker collection so this was a perfect addition to the set. The 22" length hedger is great for getting the job done quickly, yet is fairly light so it's easy to wield. The battery lasts a long time (long enough for me to hedge, then put the same battery in the leaf blower to finish the job. It's a great value and so much easier with the battery than the hassle of an extension cord.

No battery or charger.
Do not buy. Does not come with a charger OR battery. It fails to tell you anywhere on the box or description that it is sold separately.

    Perfect
    so veritable. I have an area of my yard where my neighbors' fence has fallen and is way overgrown. With her permission, I used this hedge trimmer to cut the overgrowth enough to be able to mow it. I highly recommend this product.

    Light, easy to use, and battery lasts a long time. What more can you ask for? I'm a sixty-year-old woman I find it very easy to use and strong enough to cut all my hedges and Ivy that grows around my property. Opting for the slightly longer 22in. cutting blades was a good choice. Very happy with this purchase. As a matter of fact, I'm very happy with all of Black

    Almost 5 Stars Except......
    I'm reviewing the Black and Decker 20V Max Cordless Hedge Trimmer - 22 inch model (LHT2220B) Pros: Cuts well. Love it being cordless Balanced Decent price Cons: No trigger lock like my previous hedge trimmer. To turn it on, you must slide a stiff switch with your thumb and hold it while you squeeze the grip. This safety overkill feature becomes a real aggravation if you have a weak thumb/hand or have lots of trimming to do. It starts to hurt after many iterations. Instead of a clunky slide switch, an ergonomic design would be to provide a low resistance electric button or LED sensor that is easily activated with a light press of the thumb. It is worth the extra cost to have a design that causes no pain after repeated use. In the mean time, I personally 'improved' my trimmer to eliminate thumb pain.

    Works great and does the job!
    I had some concerns about how long the battery would last, but it actually worked well for all my bushes. (and I have a lot) The hedge trimmer is lightweight and very easy to use. Also, it was great not having to drag out an extension cord. (I had accidentally cut a few cords with the old hedge trimmer)

    No Cord!!!! 20v power
    I previously owned a B&D Hedge Hog with a cord. After cutting many cords over the years and having to drag out the cord reel every time I trimmed the hedge, I decided I would try a battery trimmer. What a great decision! I find the battery powered trimmer light, powerful, and long lasting on battery power. I should have purchased one long ago!

    Great hedge trimmer for the garden!
    I have several outdoor tools from Black & Decker powered by 20V batteries such as this hedge trimmer, a weed-wacker, a 14 in. chain saw and a 8 in. pole chainsaw. I am very satisfied with these tools including my new hedge trimmer. It has a convenient length of 22 inches and it is light and works with minimum effort cutting through the bush. The battery lasts long enough for a 20 min. job and I have a couple more spears for a longer work time.
