Does not come with a battery or charger
I ended up returning this and buying the version that comes with a battery and charger. I did not know these weren't included until it arrived. You can purchase a battery seperately for $90 but you still need a charger so this is obviously for people who already have a battery and charger. Once I had a battery I was very happy with the product, works well, hold a long charge, and charges in an hour.

    Safety Concern?
    Just brought it home and was surprised that the cutting blades are NOT protected by a sheath. Otherwise, thankful that I can use my 40V batteries with this as my string trimmer.

    Good product but ...
    Ive had 5 or 6 of these units over the years. They work well until they dont. Its either the batteries or the motor. The good news is they fail before the 3 year warranty expires, B&D sends you a new one, no charge.

    Smooth operation and easy to handle!
    This product takes the work our of trimming all those bushes. Clean cuts and great results! This is the second Hedge trimmer that I have owned from Black and Decker!!!

    Not completely satisfied because this is my second trimmer in 8 months and they don't seem to be that durable. I was trimming and the blades just stopped cutting But, the motor continue to run. It seems as though something inside of it came loose or possibly broke

    Came in a fast method . Works good
    I had a clipper like this one but it stopped working. I have two batteries so I found this one which is exactly the same.

    Excellent replacement
    This was a replacement for my old Black and Decker 36V 24" Lithium Hedge Trimmer that I burnt the motor out earlier this summer. I love this product. It is the right tool for the job. Light weight and able to work for the right amount of time to finish the job...
