Ooooweeeeweeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!
This bad boy can do some damage!!! I wasn’t expecting the power this sucker puts out! Now, this model isn’t for heavy duty jobs, but for a small yard that always needs trimming...its right on the money. I haven’t even changed out the spool of string yet!! I love this thing!!!

Not so great.
I bought this about a month ago and it's just okay. The string is supposed to come out on it's own but it didn't. It had to be pulled out manually. I contacted customer service and they were amazing. They replaced it immediately. However, the new one does the same thing. It still doesn't work right. Also, the batteries have a very short life. There are a few good things about it. It is light weight and easy to use. It works well before the battery dies and you have to stop and manually pull out the trimmer string.

    Terrific for light-weight yard work.
This cordless trimmer is terrific for what it's designed to do: light-weight yard work.

Light weight and easy to use
At 84 years young I started having balance problems which made my Black and Decker corded weed eater difficult for me to use. My wife used it, but complained about the cord and the weight. I bought this lithium battery powered weed eater and we both love it. The charge on the battery lasts plenty long for our needs and the weight is perfect for both of us.

    over all a good purchase
I bought this trimmer because my lot is large enough that using a cord trimmer would be an enormous pain. The battery is good enough for my needs, to trim around the lot taking my time. It is light enough for me to wield properly (I'm in my 70's). It adjusts for height, which is handy (I'm 6'-2"). The battery recharges quickly. My only concern is the small triangular button you have to push while pressing the trigger to start the machine is awkwardly placed and small. I would suggest the addition of a "lock" feature to enable the operator to lock the trigger "on" - like a gas pump has on the spout. A larger "on" trigger handle would also be helpful, for hand comfort. I've not yet had to replace the cutting cord.

    Good value for the money
This trimmer is perfect for my 1/3 acre and it does the job nicely. It's more reliable than my hard to start bigger gas trimmers. It will run about 15-20 minutes on a charge and can be recharged relatively quickly should you need to continue. Satisfied with the puchase.

    easy-to-use but effective trimmer
After owning an older model of a Black & Decker trimmer for ~10 years, I decided to buy another one when the original one quit working (after many years of satisfactory use in a residential setting). I like battery-powered devices and my newer B&D trimmer is a significant improvement over the first one: 1)the battery charges up much more quickly (60-90 min vs. several hr), 2)the battery now has an indicator light indicating time left before recharging, 3)the trimmer itself is more powerful, and 4)it is lighter. It was easy to put together, and single charge of the batter was sufficient to trim my entire yard and driveway (~30 min). As noted by other reviewers, because the newer model is more powerful, it uses the line more quickly than the older model; I consider this as a worthwhile tradeoff. The only slight issue is that the battery has to be pushed very hard for it to set properly in the trimmer itself; if you don't push hard enough, the battery tends to release itself from the trimmer and the trimmer stops. (For that reason, I rated the “quality” of the instruments as 4 stars rather than 5).

Does fine for a battery powered trimmer.
First of all, you will not at all mistake it for a gas powered trimmer, but that should not be surprising. It did an acceptable job. Runs well for six to eight minutes and then power begins to fall off some. Does fine on grass and OK on vines. Line feed is OK, though I wish it was a "bump feed" arrangement instead of auto. I have four of the 20 volt tools, so I have plenty of battery capacity. The price at Jet was absolutely amazing. Better by far than any other place. B& D 20 volt Trimmer
Light and powerful... edged the normal sized yard and house with battery to spare. Unit is lighter and shorter than B&D trimmer I had in past, but still did the job well.
