Totally Awesome!!
I'm not sure who loves this Barbie Rewind Career Barbie more, me or my daughter! Barbie comes in a Retro VHS style box, which makes even opening the doll so much fun. A beautiful 80s outfit, accessories, and a cassette tape stand bring back memories of the ‘80s. My daughter loved Barbie's hair, her sparkly outfit, and the fact that her arms and hand could be posed many ways. She also got a kick out of putting her accessories into the briefcase. Our career Barbie has had many busy days at the office, with the ‘cassette' doubling as a desk. Take the jacket off and Barbie is ready to head out to have fun with her friends.

Don't buy….
Overall disappointed. This was my daughters first collector doll. The box arrived damaged. Her hair is totally stiff and just plain nasty feeling. The snap on her jacket seems as if it's ready to fall off. I was hopeful collector dolls would be nicer then play line. I guess I was wrong.

    I ordered this doll twice from another online retailer. Both arrived damaged, and I figured it was not meant to be (the 80's child in me was crushed!) Then I saw it on sale at walmart.com and debated taking another chance, and finally decided to go for it. So glad I did, this one arrived in perfect condition! I a m beyond thrilled!

    Not worth the price point.
    I was excited for this rewind series and was planning on buying the whole wave. I ordered this blonde one first and was extremely disappointed in the quality. The doll does not have the traditional 1980s body, in case you were wondering. I've always been a fan of the posable snap legs from the 80's/90's, but the quality on this doll's legs is extremely cheap and the plastic turned white when I initially clicked the leg into a bent position. The clothes are also bad quality and stiff with whatever glitter they're decorated with. The top and skirt is sewn together so you really can't mix and match. This was upsetting as her outfit is not very well coordinated and gives off the vibe of a 5 year old trying to dress like an executive rather than 1980's executive realness. Considering all the doll's assets, the only thing worth purchasing this doll for was the superstar head mold. If I knew all this before purchasing the doll I would have passed on it, considering the price point. It definitely did not make me want to purchase any of the other characters from this line.

    The box presentation is amazing. Bold , beautiful and above all, FUN ! The VHS look and graphics are gorgeous. Once I slid the doll out, first thing I noticed is her hair is not as long as the graphic art makes you believe. It is shoulder length and gelled into a solid brick-like unit. The hair on the box art looks down to her hips and flowing beautifully and free. That's how I remember the 80's Barbies I grew up with as a kid. Long luscious soft brush-able hair. That was the best part of a new Barbie back in the day , and I think mattel lost that opportunity to give us long fabulous soft hair. Her face paint is very pretty. Looking at a Superstar face mold with her big starry eyes and her iconic sweet smile is heaven. Like reuniting with a lifelong friend. Mattel should consider bringing this face back, I think kids will love it too because it is adorable and sweet , and parents/grandparents/uncles/aunts/adults in general will be familiar with it and that moves product. Nostalgia sells. With modern makeup and clothes this face would also work! Just give it nice long soft brush-able hair next time please. Her outfit is super cute , with puffy satin sleeves and peplum jacket with a glittery little sleeveless top underneath. Very Lady Diana, but a little sassier. She wears a short skirt and lovely light pink sparkly pantyhose. Classic 80's pumps, briefcase that actually opens up and a huge very detailed 80's cell phone completes the look. Let's not forget her hat with a dramatic hot pink satin bow! She has articulated elbows and wrists making her very expressive, and beautiful click and bend legs. The legs are just beautiful! I've missed these legs so much. Please bring them back mattel, make these legs more often! Her cassette tape inspired stand adds a lot of charm to her look. Overall a very cohesive and fun concept mattel serves this time. They are finally waking up! I did not gave the doll five stars mostly because of her hair, and her jewelry, described as “chunky” in the box, it is nothing as described. The jewelry is very simple and mattel lost the opportunity to give her the iconic rhinestone earrings and ring look of the 80's. I think if mattel brings elements of this line into the child oriented playline, like the familiar superstar era faces and the hot pink cardboard boxes with less plastic waste, with the classic curly logo, this will move a lot of product , because it is familiar to parents/guardians/adults in general that buy toys for kids, since it is very recognizable and “on brand” presentation. I say bring back the pink box and fill those store isles with Barbie Pink and curly Barbie logos again!

    Totally Excellent 80's Rewind Barbie
    My daughter recieved this doll a week ago. She picked this doll because she loved the accessories and pick clothes! I loved that it came in a box that resembled an old VHS tape. The one think my daughter did not like was that the heels didn't stay on with the panty hose. The 80's Rewind doll comes with an old fashion, pink cell phone, which my 7 year old still found cool. A suitcase that was perfect size for storing the accessories. An outfit that screamed 80's, bright pink, puffy sleeved buisness top, one piece miniskirt and top and pink panty hose. My daughter liked her big curled hair which feels a bit stiff like it was sprayed with hair spray. I am not sure how it would comb out with play. The doll has a black hat with a big pink bow attached to the top of her head. A nice touch was the doll stand whose base was a teal plastic cassette tape. The 80's edition Barbie Rewind is a fun doll for both mom and daughter alike! I would recommend this barbie for collectors, mom's born near the 80's with daughters or nieces and any girl 5 and up who likes barbies.

    I love all the details on this Barbie travel doll. This set was perfect. If you only have the one doll, you were able to play all day with this doll and all the stuff that came with it. It was changeable and made my great-niece very happy. It comes with neck support, cell phone, luggage where you can put all the accessories into it. So all you have to carry is the Barbie doll and the suitcase. Perfect gift for a young girl. I love the old phone and the audio cassette which makes me feel nostalgic and as expected my kids were wondering what it is.

    As an 80s kid who grew up collecting Barbie dolls, I appreciate everything about this doll and its packaging. The box is made to resemble a VHS tape. I love Barbie's 80s retro outfit, makeup, hairstyle, and accessories. This doll is a perfect addition to my Barbie collection.

    Awesome Rewind Barbie!
    My daughter has a lot of barbies, but this one is her favorite! The accessories that come with it are fantastic and really fun to play with! We also love the stand that comes with Barbie so she can be on display when not being played with. I highly recommend this one because it's fun, adorable, and cool!
