Accurate
Nice BB gun. I don't like the gold color of the medal, ( don't know what that's called ) it looks cheap. But does not feel cheap. It is plastic , but the weight and the balance is great. And the firing is smooth. I can't use it too much right now because it is below zero temps,, lol. But before that , when I used it I was very impressed with the weight , feel and accuracy of the rifle. I managed to hit a 1” wide fence post from about 40' in my first few shots. I got this gun for fun, and so far it has been. And it will be lots more when it warms up outside

Lots of fun!
I was so excited to try out this BB gun. When I open the box, I was surprised to see that it is a bit heavier than I thought it might be, this is recommended for people the ages of 16 years and above. This features a 20 inch steel barrel, iron sights and a multi pump lever action, I believe you can pump it up to 10 times. The gold finish is absolutely beautiful, even if you never shoot this, it would make a beautiful display piece. One thing to note, and why I gave it four stars rather than five is because some of the pieces are made of plastic and I worry about the longevity of the product due to this. If the plastic pieces break, the product is useless. When you purchase, don't forget the ammo! This takes 4.5 mm BBs. Overall, this is a really fun gun and we hope to use it for years to come.

    Good quality shooter.
Shoots very accurately from 30 feet with 7.48 gr pellets. Looks great and the new silver finish is nice. Didn't come with any BBs or pellets as advertised, but did have the safety glasses.

    Nice Henry Replica Air Rifle
With the rise in prices of ammunition and the shortage i decided to try an air rifle for plinking. This is good. I bought a box of .22 pellets and bbs since it will accept both. I didn't try different distances but I stayed at around 20' and it was pretty accurate. The misses are my lack of shooting skills. There is newer technology where you don't have to pump but then again this a throwback. I pump the max 10 that is recommended and boom it works well. Material is plastic where it can be and some sort of iron at the barrel and action. I'm very happy with this rifle.

    Accurate
This Barra bb-pellet rifle I found to be quite accurate with its sights. I haven't yet gotten the chance to load with pellets, been using bb's and have found the rifle to be quite accurate in what I've sighted in. I don't have a target yet but set up some items and made a little game of it to try out and hit the mark each time. It's easy to load and pump…feels comfortable using it, not heavy or awkward feeling. Nice gun for those that like a nostalgic look.

    Nice looking and heavy
This fun antique looking bb rifle is made of metal and plastic. Overall it's heavier than it looks and appears pretty durable. The pump does have to be pulled down to almost 90 degrees. The trigger is easy to squeeze and rifle is really quiet when fired. Holds a good bit of BBs but don't have an exact amount. The site is basic and easy to line up but with weight of gun tough to hold steady.

    Fancy BB Pellet gun
This 1866 Barra air gun is fancy right out of the box. It is a beautiful wood grain color with brass in several Spots. The end of the iron sight, the bb door, the safety mechinism All are a brass color. The barrel length is 20" total length 39". It shoots .177 Cal 4.5 mm and 50 shot capacity. The max velocity is 620 to 800 FPS. The pump lever is easy to pull. It has a safety switch that Is really nice. I didnt have any jamming issues. Great little gun with a good Amount of fire power.

    Beautiful BB or Pellet rifle
The Barra 1866 has a good look and feel while handling. It appears to be manufactured with a good quality control process. The octogen barrel is a nice addition for a BB/Pellet gun. I never pumped it over 8 times and it had plenty of power with both BB's and pellets. The sight adjustment was straight forward and once I fired a few rounds, it was hitting a good pattern on the target with both. The BB's were easy to load and use for continuous shooting. The pellets are a little more difficult to land in the loading chamber but I got the hang of it after a few tries. The trigger pull is very long which has a tendency to make you pull off the bullseye if you aren't careful. All in all, this is a nice addition for your air rifle enjoyment.

    Fun For All, Good Accuracy
The air rifle gun arrived! We were all excited to give it a try. We purchased some BB's and off to the back yard we went. The Barra 166 by far has exceeded my expectations. A well-made and high-quality air rifle. I found it very easy to pump. You can pump it from one to ten times, increasing the power with each pump. The mechanical aspect of this rifle is good. Both the power factor and accuracy are excellent for a pump air rifle. It reminds me of the old west guns in TV shows. It is great for the whole family. As my son puts it the trigger is crisp, and the gun is accurate. Do not pump without loading, your air will not seal, it is a safety feature. Read all the instructions before using. Now the air rifle is not lightweight, it does have some weight too it.

    Great Looking Cowboy Air Rifle
This Barra 1866 air rifle is exceptional looking. As soon as it came and I took it out of the box, my fully-grown husband (who has his own "grown-up" rifles) got excited and was interested in getting it out and looking at it. It looks like a rifle a cowboy in an old-time movie would carry. The gold part is very shiny. The "wood" part is actually plastic, but that doesn't detract from the looks. It has a good weight to it. You can pump it up to 10 times, but even at 2-3 pumps it has enough power to shoot a BB quite far. I would say that littler kids might have trouble pumping it, as the lever is a pretty big stretch, but of course they'll have adult supervision and help with that. BBs load easily through the side, loading pellets is a little harder through the magnetic slide. It's a one-shot rifle, not an actual repeating rifle. It's really fun to shoot. I am thinking of getting some targets to practice with, Walmart carries several different kinds. All in all, a very nice-looking air rifle (not a toy, it shoots real projectiles!) for the beginner.
