Glides on Smoothly
This Better Homes & Garden white satin paint was just the bright white color I was looking for. It glides on very smooth and I enjoy how the color doesn't change much once it's dried. The paint also dried really quickly which is always helpful when your painting and have small children in the home. The consistency of the paint is just right. Not to thick or to thin. Highly recommend when your looking for a nice bright white colored paint.

    Great coverage!
    When my daughter was younger, she loved bright colors. As a teenager, she is not as big of a fan of her bright yellow dresser. I opted for Better Homes and Gardens interior paint + primer in Obsidian to tackle the job of trying to cover that bright yellow. I was skeptical at first, but I could tell as I was giving the paint a stir with the brush that this was the paint for the job. It is very thick. Even though it is thick, it isn't difficult to apply. I was worried that it may show brush strokes because it was so thick, but it was very smooth after drying. It wasn't “goopy” and didn't drip. The surface of the dresser was very slick and I was afraid it would take several coats. I didn't sand the surface or do any prep besides just wiping it down and the paint adhered wonderfully. It looked a bit too shiny after I initially applied it, but when it dried it was a perfect, satin-y finish. I only had to use one coat and it completely covered the yellow. Since it was shipped to me, it came with a plastic ring around the top to prevent the lid from coming off in transit and that was a little difficult to remove. You will definitely need plyers and some pretty strong hands. I am not complaining though, since it was delivered to me and I didn't have to leave my house. Clean-up was very easy. The brush rinsed out quickly with just some warm water. I am very pleased with this product!

    Bright White and works well!
    This Better Homes and Gardens paint works quite well! I have painted quite a bit over the last 30 years and used a lot of different brands of paint. I've painted theater sets, worked on paid jobs and painted my own home and extended family homes. This is most like Glidden paint and primer in one in my opinion. It goes on smoothly, covers well, has good pigment, washes off of my skin fairly easily yet gives a nice durable finish. It did need a second coat to cover fully but in my experience every other brand does also when using a paintbrush. I painted my indoor wooden stairs with it to really see how it would hold up. Within two hours of application my kids we're walking all over them without any signs of damage. I will apply a polycrilic finish to ensure that it stays nice but I plan on putting stair treads on them with only the kick plates and two inches on each side showing on the stair tops. I have every reason to believe that in this setting it will hold up well from what I've seen so far! I also painted the kick plates on my other stairs with good results. I realize that this type of paint is more meant for walls but it would also work with a variety of other projects.

    Foolproof
    I was not confident that I could do a good job painting my daughter's room because the first time I did it 5 years ago I did a horrible job. I was also worried that I would not have enough paint to get all of her walls. Very small room so had a lot of paint left over and will probably use it on her ceiling once my hand and arm rests for a day. I was painting 7 hours. The walls are not smooth, they have lots of crevices but not like popcorn ceilings, I don't know what it's called. I had to paint all sorts of ways to fill in the spaces. There are some spots I could go over a second time but I'm very happy with how it came out with the first coat. The walls were white before we painted over it with this paint. As far as the paint itself. There was practically no odor when painting. We had a window unit going but I could not smell anything even when my face was near the bucket or brush or walls. The paint washed off of my skin easily, like a thin layer of fabric paint would. I found a spot on my shirt that did not want to come out though. The next day I entered the room and noticed a slight fabric paint smell, I assume the paint. I wet a rag to test wiping the wall. Paint stayed on! Cons of this paint: your other walls will be jealous of your new walls. And you'll want to paint your whole house with confidence.

    No smell great paint!
    I received Better Homes & Gardens Interior Paint + Primer in Satin Finish color was Obsidian. First I received this with a rubber ring around the top. I believe it was because I had it shipped. It came with directions on how to open. I still found this very difficult. I did end up getting it open after a lot of forcing. Now, I will say this color is beautiful. I painted my kitchen cabinets with this. It was very easy to apply. However I did have to do two coats. It dried extremely fast by the time I was done with painting everything it was dry and I could start the second coat. Now my favorite part about this is it does not stink! It did not stink up my whole house it is not a full fowl odor. There is practically no smell at all. Everything is clean and fresh looking. Very satisfied with this paint I will be using this for now on. I can not wait to try other colors in my house now.

    Pretty color
    I received my free sample of Better Homes & Gardens Interior Paint + Primer, Satin Finish - Summer Sand in exchange for an honest review. I like this color for my entry way. It is a color that gives you enough light for your room and doesn't overwhelm it . It is just as it says, sand color. I didn't have any problems with it I only had to give it one coating. This brand of paint is great at getting their colors right and the quality of the paint is wonderful.

    Awesome coverage and low smell
    This paint is pretty great in my opinion. It has great coverage without even needing a second coat! I'm not saying that would be the case for everyone but I painted over a light color and it only needed one coat! I would assume that 2 coats would be needed if painting over a dark color. I also like that this paint has very little smell so you aren't punched in the face with a strong odor like with some other brands. I have done ALOT of painting over the years and this paint ranks up there with the best I've used! I would most certainly recommend it! A+

    Love the results!
    Better homes & Garden interior paints has this beautiful satin summer sand color. The container has a seal that can be a pain to get off. A lot of companies are putting these white plastic seals on though, guess it's to protect from spills, etc. On the container it says ideal for bedrooms and living spaces. I was super excited to get my kitchen an updated paint job. I always paint my kitchen a sand color and it needed an updated paint job for some time now. I love the results and I'm happy with the outcome of this brand. I like that it has primer already ,so it saves me a lot of time. Not sure if you can tell in the pictures I included. It does have a slight shine ,but not as bright of a shine as the picture. That paint isn't fully dried. It does dry quickly. It doesn't have a strong odor either. That's a must for me quick drying and low fumes. Quality paint and beautiful color. I'm thinking of doing my bedroom in this color too.

    Quality paint!
    This better homes and gardens paint and primer in summer sand is just the perfect color for my beige themed home. It goes great with all of my white decor and makes my home look bright and cheerful. I love that it has the primer in it because in the past I've had to take lots of time to buy a primer and paint that on first allow it to dry them apply the regular paint on top of that.  That was always so exhausting! With this better homes and gardens paint it combines the two together making my life so much easier. It's thick and high quality paint. I highly recommend giving it a try.
