Foolproof
I was not confident that I could do a good job painting my daughter's room because the first time I did it 5 years ago I did a horrible job. I was also worried that I would not have enough paint to get all of her walls. Very small room so had a lot of paint left over and will probably use it on her ceiling once my hand and arm rests for a day. I was painting 7 hours. The walls are not smooth, they have lots of crevices but not like popcorn ceilings, I don't know what it's called. I had to paint all sorts of ways to fill in the spaces. There are some spots I could go over a second time but I'm very happy with how it came out with the first coat. The walls were white before we painted over it with this paint. As far as the paint itself. There was practically no odor when painting. We had a window unit going but I could not smell anything even when my face was near the bucket or brush or walls. The paint washed off of my skin easily, like a thin layer of fabric paint would. I found a spot on my shirt that did not want to come out though. The next day I entered the room and noticed a slight fabric paint smell, I assume the paint. I wet a rag to test wiping the wall. Paint stayed on! Cons of this paint: your other walls will be jealous of your new walls. And you'll want to paint your whole house with confidence.

Maybe I didnt stir enough but it was a little extra watery so make sure to really stir to remix the blend. The color seem to have like a pink shade in the gray so not what I wanted and it did not cover first coat again seem too watery. I was able to wipe it off with wet cloth pretty easy even after i thought it was dry.

    I planned on painting my kitchen with this because I thought the description meant you could paint anywhere. But when it came it said "ideal for bedrooms and living rooms" so we aired on the side of caution and changed our plan. The paint went on easily, the smell wasn't as strong as most paints which I really appreciated, and it didn't take forever to dry. I took off a star because the lid was dented, and because of my confusion on where I could paint. After painting I think this would've been fine in the kitchen. But then again I don't know the reason they recommend it for living room and bedrooms. Maybe it has something to do with water/humidity in kitchens and bathrooms or it could be just a recommendation. But I'm glad we skipped the kitchen. The coverage is great. We painted one of our posts under our carport too with some of the leftover paint just to see if how well it would do (we are closing in the carport anyway). The post was really dirty. The post has bumps, knicks and holes. The paint filled in holes and covered almost everything with only one coat except the big holes and bumps. I recommend this. I will be purchasing more in the future.

    Nice color
    I've been looking for a nice silvery beige color to paint one of my rooms and this color seems about right. First of all, I like that it has low odor and no VOC, I'm very sensitive to smell and this didn't bother me. The label says it has a mildew resistant coating and is stain resistant so that's nice. I wanted to be sure it is the color I had in mind, so I painted an old table to see the result and it was exactly what I wanted for my room. I'm not a paint expert so while I do like the color, I did notice that the paint has a fairly thin consistency and took a while to mix the bucket. I had to paint a few layers to achieve the right thickness. Overall, it does the job and looks great once done, but just a bit too thin compared to what I'm used to.

    Y'all, I don't know how they made this paint both cool and warm but it is. It's perfect. It's actually very similar to Sherwin Williams Alabaster. I am about to build a home so I didn't paint any walls with this yet but I am actually considering using this for my entire house. I painted a side table and it turned out great. The paint is very smooth and covers well since it has the primer in it. It dried very quickly, too! If I go with this in my new house, I will update photos.

    Neither silver nor sand
    I chose Silver Sand for color but really, it's white. First, this was shipped to me and I do not recommend that you have paint shipped. It comes with a plastic ring on top to lock the lid down, however, this ring is difficult to remove and required pliers to pry it up and the lid was heavily dented outward. The paint had also separated by the time i received it. I used it to paint over greenish gray wall paneling and it covered pretty good with one coat but i had to touch up thin areas. Overall, it's a good paint but just don't have it shipped to you.

    Beautiful color
    Better Homes & Gardens Interior Paint + Primer, Satin Finish - Silver Sand. This is the best paint for DIY project. This is a washable wall paint and that is a plus for me because my toddler is always staining the wall. I'm painting my entire house this coming fall season. I recommend this product.

    Great coverage!
    When my daughter was younger, she loved bright colors. As a teenager, she is not as big of a fan of her bright yellow dresser. I opted for Better Homes and Gardens interior paint + primer in Obsidian to tackle the job of trying to cover that bright yellow. I was skeptical at first, but I could tell as I was giving the paint a stir with the brush that this was the paint for the job. It is very thick. Even though it is thick, it isn't difficult to apply. I was worried that it may show brush strokes because it was so thick, but it was very smooth after drying. It wasn't “goopy” and didn't drip. The surface of the dresser was very slick and I was afraid it would take several coats. I didn't sand the surface or do any prep besides just wiping it down and the paint adhered wonderfully. It looked a bit too shiny after I initially applied it, but when it dried it was a perfect, satin-y finish. I only had to use one coat and it completely covered the yellow. Since it was shipped to me, it came with a plastic ring around the top to prevent the lid from coming off in transit and that was a little difficult to remove. You will definitely need plyers and some pretty strong hands. I am not complaining though, since it was delivered to me and I didn't have to leave my house. Clean-up was very easy. The brush rinsed out quickly with just some warm water. I am very pleased with this product!

    Bright White and works well!
    This Better Homes and Gardens paint works quite well! I have painted quite a bit over the last 30 years and used a lot of different brands of paint. I've painted theater sets, worked on paid jobs and painted my own home and extended family homes. This is most like Glidden paint and primer in one in my opinion. It goes on smoothly, covers well, has good pigment, washes off of my skin fairly easily yet gives a nice durable finish. It did need a second coat to cover fully but in my experience every other brand does also when using a paintbrush. I painted my indoor wooden stairs with it to really see how it would hold up. Within two hours of application my kids we're walking all over them without any signs of damage. I will apply a polycrilic finish to ensure that it stays nice but I plan on putting stair treads on them with only the kick plates and two inches on each side showing on the stair tops. I have every reason to believe that in this setting it will hold up well from what I've seen so far! I also painted the kick plates on my other stairs with good results. I realize that this type of paint is more meant for walls but it would also work with a variety of other projects.

    Bedroom update
    I was looking for paint to redo the terrible looking walls in my bedroom. I'm not sure if I mistakenly saw silver lining as the color or the wrong color was sent to me. I was confused as to what color this paint would be. I tried the color even though it was not what I wanted and the picture below is how it turned out. I'm not happy with the result so I will be purchasing a different color. It may work in a bathroom or kitchen but it's too light for the bedroom. I received this product free for my honest review.
