Excellent large spreader
I have about 3 acres of grass to mow and maintain in this house I purchased. The lawn needed a refurbishment after neglect for 20 years and I began searching for a quality large spreader . After much research the 175 lb capacity Brinly tow behind spreader was my choice and am very glad it was . Very clear and extremely simple picture assembly instructions were nice and it went together very fast . It spreads product amazingly well and it very stable with a heavy load . A great choice for someone needing a large spreader .

Decent Spreader
I bought the spreader a few months ago. As far as the capacity and the towability, the spreader is great. But, the agitator is extremely unders sized for the 125 pound capacity. If you put more than 50 or 60 pounds in the spreader, the agitator can not keep up and the spreader jams up. Plus, the agitator doesn't push the product out of the spreader adequately. When the spreader get low, you have to reach back and tilt the spreader to get product to drop towards the opening.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/08/2022Rugged and easy to useAssembly went fairly well and can be done easily by one person. Just used the spreader once with organic fertilizer this Fall. Bin easily held two 25lbs of fertilizer and seemed to spread it fairly evenly. So far this product is performing as expected and seems like it will last.decurb

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/05/2022Well MadeI bought this spreader several months back, so I would have for my fall yard needs..Spread lime on yard for my first use, awesome product pulls very easy. I worked for Heavy Equipment Manufacturing for 35 years, so i am very thoughtful when looking at structure ,design, welding ,material ..SandyK.

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/03/2022Well MadeThis is a well made spreader with protection to the gears to prevent corrosion. It also allows spreading on one side only. It is great spreader. The only issue for me is that the last quart to half gallon of product is difficult to get out.FowlRiverYardMan

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/01/2022I honestly like this fertilizer spreader.I bought this fertilizer spreader b4 spring and it spreads fertilizer evenly. I discovered the one- direction feature so I could run it close to my front decorations but not spread on them. Very nice to not need to estimate the distance I needed to be away from front decorations. Oh yes, the lever to open and close the pathway to drop the chemicals really works. It has a thick sheet strongly tied to the lever. Other makes only worked a short time before there was "play" between the level and thin plastic material closing the drop shute.Guss

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/30/2022A suggestion for an improvementSeems to work great, but the control handle is so too short and so far back that I can't easily reach it from my JD mower/tractor...especially when turning to the right (I'm right handed). I modified it so the handle is both taller and closer to me when in operation. Just a thought.koloradoguy

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/30/2022Very stabile while working on slopesI bought this to seed my bare dirt yard. It worked well for that but then I tried Using it in my small pasture that has a significant slope. The ground there is very rough as well. The spreader stayed upright with problems and did well spreading my winter rye grass. This was money well spent. Will W

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/30/2022Good design, well constructed.Seems to be a good mix of materials, metal where overall strength is required and PVC where resistance to corrosion from fertilizers and other lawn products are a consideration. Design could be improved to locate operating lever within reaching distance of a seated operator, better yet would be a means to operate the lever without turning rearward (would also improve operating safety.Dan 46

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/17/2022Sturdy great valueInstructions were good and assembly is very sturdy. The spreader mechanism and opening control are well designed and easy to use from the seat of the lawn tractor. I spread fertilizer and then grass seed over a half acre front year easily with great distribution control. I highly recommend this unit as much better value that the similar JD (green) unit.Chris_Ontario
