Well don't know how to use a sewing machine but I will definitely learn, love it, light weight, looks like easy to use.

This is my first ever sewing machine. I thought I got something decent but there is just TOO much struggle with this thing. Threads bunch up if you sewing anything thicker than two pieces of fabric and it jams up 7/10 times. I don't know if it is my individual machine or what but I am really surprised to see so many good reviews for this machine and Brother. Severely disappointed and confused. I also don't know if this is because of my lack of experience in sewing but I tried every troubleshooting option I could find. Nothing worked.

    nice little machine
    only have used it a few times. seems good for light duty sewing. has many pre-set stitches for various projects. no problems setting up and using. had the bobbin, lower thread, installed and ready to sew.

    Great starter machine!
    I have been sewing for a week as of this review, and was not paid for this review in any way! I have had tons of issues with this machine! All caused by the fact I am new to sewing. This machine was so easy to set up and start sewing I checked three times to make sure I did it correctly. This machine tried to eat my fabric and had to take the plate off to get it back, then realized I shouldn't have started sewing with fleece for the first time. Once I realized what I was doing wrong I finished my first fleece pillowcase only feeding the machine fleece one more time but caught it sooner. The owners manual is great for changing stiches and checking tension settings. Once I can figure out how to sew a straight zig zag for finishing seams I'm sure this awesome machine will continue to serve well, and my hope is one day be productive enough to move up to the Brother strong and tough machine.

    Hunk of JUNK!
    Oh brother! I spent at least 12 or 15 hours trying to get this machine to work properly! I had FIVE women who have seen for years try to help to no avail!! We tried everything and it just didn't work!!! It's packed up and being sent back! I can't wait to never see this piece of junk again.

    great simple machine
    i ran into the same issues from these reviews and realized it was user error. sewed through velcro and sequined material. i wish the instruction cd was available online because who has a cd drive anymore?

    This a very nice, basic light weight sewing machine. Great for beginners Easy two set up. It is mostly plastic, great price. Great design

    Beautiful and sturdy machine
    I love this machine! Word of advice, register your product right away. I didn't register my last machine so when something was wrong with it, I was out of luck. That was the older model of this machine and it took 5 years to break so that's saying something! This machine is such a beautiful shade of blue. In the photos and on the box it looks like a very pale blue, but it's actually more like a rich baby blue. I thought the design on the front would be a sticker but it's actually a part of the plastic and the hearts are silver and shiny. I thought they'd be grey. All in all I'm pleasantly surprised. This machine is so easy to use. I like a lot more than my friend's expensive Singer.

    A surprising success for a small price
    I foolishly thought this machine was quite primitive. I had to actually thread it, Set the tension, the stitch size, what needle to use. After doing all that and using it I realized it was a little gem. A work horse that gets the job done. It is sturdy and attractive, the price amazing with many different stitches to choose from. A very good purchase. I am staying with this machine for the forseeable future.

    Just what I needed.
    It was easy to use right out of the box. I have made patio cushions and sewed patches on uniforms and it has worked like a dream. I will be using it to teach my teenage daughters to sew. I also have gotten lots of compliments on the color.
