It's all about spending time with the grandchild
If you've got a young grandson or granddaughter you need to buy this asap. This little game gave us so many laughs and so much quality time together. My 5 and 7 year old granddaughter had so much fun with this. After playing it a couple of times I couldn't sit down without them saying "Grandpa, do you to play Catan". It's all about spending the time with grandchildren.

    Great for families!
    This is a good Junior version of the game. It moves quickly, has simplified rules and setup, but it also does a pretty good job of preparing younger players for the full version when older. The four year old had to be on a team with his dad, but stayed involved and interested the whole game. The six year old we played with was OK on her own, with occasional reminders from her mom. The older kids loved it and caught on quickly!

    Win for our family
    We love Settlers of Catan and wanted to introduce our 4 yo to it. This is an excellent beginning game. She has caught on fairly quick, is developing strategy and asks to play it frequently.

    A real good game
    After reading some reviews I was on the fence about buying this one. We wanted our kids to play and this seemed easier for kids. Well lets just say my kids didn't play long. Me and my husband have played quite a bit on our own. Its really fun. Waiting on actual catan to be shipped but still see us playing this game.

    Good entry into strategy games. Fun for 5-9 yr
    A fun game for kids between 5 - 9. It's an entry into strategy games. But the good thing is there is a fair bit of chance so adults and kids can play together and the kids have a good chance of beating the parents. Which makes it fun for all. .
