Diary of a Wimpy Kid ...
Diary of a Wimpy Kid Cabin Fever Have you been in trouble and been punished? Well, Greg has. Greg is a boy who writes about his life and what's going on in his present time. He has a big brother named Rodrick who is lazy and sleeps a lot. He has a little brother named Manny who breaks everything. The author Jeff Kinney said, "I do all my speeches in pictures. If I wrote words, I'd get locked in on them." Jeff Kinney was born on February 19, 1971, he's 43 years old. He has two children named Will and Grant Kinney. Greg and the family were stuck in a blizzard and Greg was working for money to buy his critters clothes. He was cleaning his neighbor's driveway. I recommend this book to people who has trouble with their lives and to people who has a journal.

I finally figure out what makes Wimpy Kid so popular, its not so much a novel as a series of vaguely connected, super short stories. And of course involve adults acting silly and kids being kids. Audio was good, quick listen.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. In the case of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, that actually is a good thing. The latest entry in Jeff Kinney's Wimpy Kid series is “Cabin Fever” and I found it to be enjoyable. I admit I didn't laugh out loud as much as I did with the early books, but I still managed many smiles. Greg Heffley's adventures are still the wacky, outrageous ones you've read before. There are the battles with his parents, the run-ins with his big brother and new experiences with his younger brother Manny. In fact, one of the funniest moments had to do with a bad winter storm and an enterprising Manny. He is growing up! I would recommend this book to anyone who has enjoyed the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and isn't looking for a new twist on the story.

I kind of lost interest in the Wimpy Kid books after book 3 or 4...the premise seemed to be getting a little worn, and I found myself more irritated than amused by Greg's ham-handed and insensitive behavior. However, Jeff Kinney seems to be back to form in this installment. And reading a book about the horrors of a long winter power outage during the week between Christmas and New Year's was perfect timing. The jokes seemed fresher, and while Greg is still clueless about many (well most) things, he comes off as less annoying here. I laughed out loud in a few places, especially when Greg tries to help clear snow from a neighbor's driveway with the aid of a garden hose.

The first half cracked me up several times, but it started to drag substantially in the middle, as Greg's selfish antics started to wear instead of inducing chuckles. None of these will ever compare to the power of the first one, so I wouldn't even read any more of them if it took longer than 1 hour to read. Since it only requires such a minute commitment, however, it IS worth reading.

This book was about a boy, and what happens the weeks before Christmas. A blizzard hits his town, and he is stuck in his house with his family. This drives the boy crazy. I probably would not have my students read this in class, but I would definitely put this on a summer reading list. I think this would be a nice book for a student to read during their summer break.

I really enjoyed the audio version of this book, read by Ramon de Ocampo. He had a pleasant upbeat voice with the perfect amount of mischief. The story is presented in diary form, each day presenting the reader with the trials and tribulations of a 12-year old boy. He has an older and younger brother with their own personalities and Greg shows us how he learns to get along with them. This is the only book of the series I have read and I really enjoyed it.

We all know how hard it can be to stay with your family for a long time, and Jeff really put that on the dot in this book. in this book, Greg Heffley tries his best to stay with his parents for the summer, but he just couldn't take it. He got frustrated when he learns he was barricaded in his house with snow, and theres no way out. So he's forced to stay inside of his house until the summer is over.

I thought this book was a good book because Greg, the main character, is so lazy it's funny. Jeff Kenny, the author, really knows how to write a good book. The one thing I do not like about the book is that it is so short. I like how Greg tried to shovel snow and just used the sprinkler.

In the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid Cabin Fever Greg Heffley and his adventures are back. This time he ends up getting stuck inside with his family when giant blizzard strikes the town where he lives. He is forced to spend time with his family and he's not enjoying the time. His brother becomes his roomate and his dad is away at a 5 star hotel. Greg also in this book fells a new side of a relationship with his family he's never felt before. Like he never realised how much his family meant to him untill now. Again he doesn't look forward on going back to school, because as always there's bullys. Greg has always had problems with bullies.
