Charming and Unique!
This is a fun table-top game where players take turns placing tiles to form a map-like playing board on which they can score points by placing their meeples (pieces) and completing features (buildings, roads, monasteries, etc). Pros: * Very easy concepts to grasp and learn. Ages 7 and up! * Tremendous replay value: every game has a different map-board to play on and difficulty/strategy levels can be increased for variety (see below) * Adjustable difficulty levels with supplemental rules (Farmers, River, and Abbots are supplemental rules included in this edition). Additional expansions are available for purchase for even more variety of play to the base game. * Instructions and rules are generally well-written and color-coded with pictures and examples * Charming and pleasing art style and illustrations * There are published rules for solo play as well! Cons: * Requires a minimum 3 x 3 playing area to accommodate a random, expanding map-board as tiles are played * A few of the in-game scenarios and specific rulings can seem vague and may require research online for clarity.

Great game ruined w/ misalignment printing errors
Ordered and now received a replacement for the original... Both copies feature tiles that are extremely misaligned making gameplay confusing and frustrating at times. Clearly this isn't WalMart's fault and it looks like they may have gotten a bad batch from the publisher. Who knows how many copies are affected but I'd avoid ordering this game from WalMart for the foreseeable future. Maybe that's why it's at such a low price!

    Fantastic Game!
Fun game that is easy to pick up and offers high repeatability due to every game being unique. Simple of enough for my 6 and 8 year old to play, but enough strategy for my wife and our adult friends to enjoy. Each game takes less than 25 min. A worthy edition to any game collection.

    Family fun!
This game is great for pre-teens to adults! Can be simpler with younger players or played strategically with adults.

    excellent setting
I played with friends once and I totally loved it. So decided to get my own game. It is the perfect game for family gathering and can have up to 8 players, or more. Not too easy not too difficult. Just the game for you and your loved ones.

    Great strategy game
Great strategy game. Its simple enough for new players to play, yet complex enough to have fun with developing winning strategies. I love strategy games, and I use this game to play with friends that don't like these types of games as much.

    Carcassonne
My daughter and I really enjoy the Carcassonne game. What we did not know is that the game is based on a real place. We had picked up the book Complete Book of Marvels by Richard Halliburton for totally unrelated reasons and found a chapter dedicated to this medieval treasure. Check it out on your favorite web search! Bon voyage! The game is easy to learn and quick to play but always different and definitely fun! It fits nicely between daily activities. Most sessions are around 30 minutes. We stop and play then race off to the next task. Visually connecting the next tile to the growing picture can be a challenge but it is a great way to naturally work on observation skills. It is a tile game so each game is completely different. The meeple men are always an added tactile bonus.
