Good cookware for a good price
Got these stockpots about 10 days ago and haven't cooked in them yet, but they are very high quality, a good weight (not "tinny") and look like they will last for years. I'm very pleased with the quality and the price--two for the price that one would probably cost anywhere else.

Caution: no insulation on the bottoms!!
I am a real cook who loves to cook: It is like the difference between day and night- these pots versus good cookware. The bottoms are so thin, my first time using them the food was scorched to the bottom. Unless you are only using these for water boiling or brothy soups- search for a product that has a thicker bottom. My old set of fat reward with built in copper insulation, oh my- but we had to put them in storage back home while we are on missions.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/25/2020Perfect for soup!!!!This is the second batch of soup my son has made in these pots. The first was chicken vegetable which turned out to be amazingly tasty. The second batch was an old fashioned soup called Macaroni Soup made with burger. That soup came out wonderful as well. He has cooked those two soups for many years and they never tasted so great as the batches he just made. The pots are substantial and not thin or cheap. The handles are well rivited into the pot. The lids are well made and fit properly. These pots don't lose much water either when the lids are put on. I like the fact the lids are stainless steel also and not glass that can break. The stainless steel is easy to clean. I would recommend you cook anything in these pots on a much lower temperature than you usually cook as the heat is distributed much more evenly and your soup ends up way too hot to eat. My son, who is the family chef, says these are great soup pots but if you have a greasy soup the soup does get very hot and stays hot in the pot well after you turn off the burner. Easy to hand wash as they are too big for the dishwasher. Recommend Dawn to clean them properly of any grease or oil. I give this a high recommendation for purchase. And the bonus is you get TWO pots for the price of one. I was looking at a single pot at $40 and this set is well worth it. Other pots had poor construction and thin walls.... NOT THESE POTS. They are worth every penny and then some. You won't be sorry if you purchase them. The only thing better would be a set of Viking at Viking prices!!!SallieAnn

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/20/2014A pot is a pot.The pots are great! Had an incident today where I burned the split peas. :( Very Bad. The pot cleaned right up. One problem and it's my fault, there is now a metal discoloration where it over heated. After I cleaned it out, put in another batch and they cooked up no problems.Flreb2

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/13/2013Money's WorthI purchased these pots to brew a very special tea that requires for you to brew in stainless steel pots only. I have to say that I was impressed with these pots. They are very durable and sturdy. For the price, I think I made a great choice.LadySteele77
