Happy with the computer
I've had this computer for about a year now, since May 2015, and I haven't had any problems. I did right away add a graphics card though, the EVGA Nvidia 750 TI SC, so I could play some games with high graphics settings. I don't think it mentions it in the description, but the PCI express x16 slot is the 3.0 version, which is something I myself wondered when I was trying to pick out a graphics card. I haven't had to upgrade the RAM from the 8GB's that's included, but its good to know I can. It came with Windows 8.1 but I upgraded it to Windows 10 no problem.

This computer had major issues.
From the minute it was first turned on, we kept getting error messages that it could not load windows and has memory problems. It began restarting in an attempt to fix the problem. After about 25 restarts, we gave up and returned it to the local SAMs Club. No refund on shipping cost added to our significant frustration. This computer was a definite lemon and we are not novices to buying, installing, or using computers.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/12/2015Great upgrade for desk top.Replaced a 6.5 year old desk top. Boots up much quicker than the old technology. Has features such as wifi that the old desk top lacked. Costs less for better performance than desk top purchased almost seven years ago.AncientAge

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/13/2015Fast computer but sound did not work.My husband tried to troubleshoot the sound issue, but many people also experienced the same sound issue with this specific type of Dell desktops. I was a bit disappointed because that was a Valentine's present I wish I could keep this lighting fast computer. :(JuJu320

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/29/2015A Great Way to Upgrade your ComputerI bought this computer to update my old one that ran on Windows Vista to this one that has Windows 8.1. I Opened the box, took out the computer, attached it to all of my peripherals and turned it on. It booted into Windows 8.1. I followed the instructions for configuring my Internet access, and got and installed all of the Windows updates. Everything just worked as it should. No trouble at all. I installed all my previous applications. They all worked. Other than taking some time, to install the updates and applications, it was a very easy transition. I have had this computer for about a month and it is still without any problems. If you already have a good monitor and other good peripherals, this is an inexpensive way to upgrade your system. A satisfied customer in the Chicago area.OldWoodenShoe

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/07/2014Lightening fast replacement for old XP modelNew i5 processor, coupled with 8 megs of RAM can't compare with a decade-plus old XP model. Plus, I found the new 8.1 OS quite easy to navigate. Granted, I haven't used the apps, nor will I probably do so for awhile, but the new system is great. Plus, the new 8.1 O.S. accepted by old Microsoft Works word processing and spread sheet. And, you can always use other free alternatives to Microsoft Office. All in all, extremely happy with the purchase. Plus, and this may be one of the biggest pluses yet, the Sam's Club technical support was fantastic. They guided me through transferring all of my old files and pictures, as well as any questions on set up. And, this is included with your annual Sam's membership. Great value, indeed.HappySenior
