I just received this printer and am finishing installation. It would not print paper from cassette 2. I rechecked paper loading and found cassette1 was pushed in. I took it out and cassette 1 appeared O.K., but when I looked into the paper bay, saw a gear. I can print from cassette 2, but get the message "paper out" for cassette 1 when I try to print a picture. This is my third XP printer, so I am familiar with use. My older 820 is smearing ink on all pictures and not printing well on letters, so I ordered this replacement. Please help.

Bad Product
Worked good at first but shortly after using, the ink ran out. Then the last strew was the last update that left my scanner unusable. Worked two hours to get it to work only to have it revert after rebooting.

    Good for about 2 yrs.
    When you get the end of life pad message. Time to throw it away. Only owned 1 Epson. I will never purchase another one !!! Junk

    Great Printer
    So far this printer is great, I replaced my HP which had failed 2nd one in three years with this printer and it has performed as well if not better LOVE IT.

    Great Printer
    It took a while to set up and update software but worked very well after. Epson 830 prints great pictures and I'm still using the same cartridges that came with the printer. ADF also works well. I purchased two other printers before this one and could not get either one to work right.

    CR gave this a top rating over several HP printers so I choose to purchase an Epson 830. Big mistake, this thing has to be turned off and rebooted each time to scan and download items to my computer's files. Runs out of ink after 30 pages of print

    So far so good. I had a XP-820 before this and it died after 11/2 years. Fortunately ,I had a 2 yr extended warranty. It is one of the best photo printers for the money that I have found. It has 5 separate inks , including photo black. That does make a definite difference and saves money by allowing you to just replace the empty cartridge. It was easy to install. But for some reason, the first print job of the day seems to take a long time (40-50 secs). After that it zips right to life.

    Great printer
    I have not used it for anything but printing; however, I was able to print from both my cell phone and my laptop. Colored text looked as good as on the screen. Looking forward to printing photos and scanning.

    Easy to set up
    This was the easiest printer I have had to set up. So far it is working well. Hope it keeps working as well in the future. Will definitely be changing brands, for future purchases, if it does
