You will be Printing in Minutes.....
This is a great printer from the second you open the box up. It took about 10 minutes total from when I opened up the box to setting up wifi, to printing out an email from my phone. It even has plastic handles to make it easy to pull out of the box. One of the great features of this product is the touch screen which has the same technology as my iPhone. I'm able to slide and advance to next screens with ease. Another positive is the noise of this printer. Very, Very, quiet especially with it's lightning speed printing of documents. I recommend this product to anyone who has a small business or even in any busy home. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4740 All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

    Terrible printer
    If your a person that prints a lot of different papers at once this isn't for you! And if you need to fax more than 3 pages at once this is not for you! Oh man I wish I would've kept the box before trying it!! Lesson LEARNED.

    Don't buy this crap if you value your sanity
    This is by far the most frustrating printer I have ever owned. Unlike all my prior printers, this crap has major issues separating sheets of paper. I try and print a 5-page document, and it prints the first page fine then drags 10 or so sheets of paper and jams itself. I use to print huge batches of voucher checks on my old HP printer, but now I have to print checks one-by-one so this piece of crap doesn't waste my checks. It's incredibly frustrating and time consuming. Will never buy an Epson ever again.

    Scanner error = throw away
    I bought this printer 3 years ago and for most of that time, it worked great. Then a few days ago, it starting getting an error message for the scanner at start up. There is no way to get past this error, which in turn means that you can't even use the printing functions. After speaking to an Epson tech, I was informed that this is a hardware error and since it is no longer under warranty, my choice was to send it in for repair at my cost...which equalled the price of a new printer. There is a serious software design problem here...I could live w/o the scanner and the software should have been built so that these two functions (printer and scanner) could run independently of each other. I have used Epson products for a long time...this one will be my last.

    Great printer for the money
    Bought this during the Coronavirus pandemic schools were out and needed to upgrade our wf 2530 I believe that was the model. The 2530 was a good printer but this wf 4730 blows it out of the water although its comparing apples to oranges (higher priced vs older lower priced models). Very quick printing speeds and it's very hassle free to set up it guides you through the set up on the touchscreen. It can scan to your phone. Has the NFC feature which I use also alot. If this is like all the other epson printers iv bought it will be a good reliable printer that's why I stick with epson you know your buying a good product. Just a side note their customer service is really good along with it always helped and always nice.

    Lines through color print - first print made
    I wanted to love this! Fairly easy to use and more substantial than my previous Workforce 635. However, and big however—my test print of a color photo has stripes in it!!!! I am actually quite disappointed in this. For my everyday duplex scanning, printing docs, etc it will be fine, but I will be unable to use this for client comps or photographs. Can't believe it.

    Great Printer!!!
    I love Epson Printers, I brought this printer to replace a 15 yr old Epson printer. It's only been about 3 weeks since I got this printer and I have printed out a lot of things mostly in color and the ink is still FULL ( Do you hear me!! this is the same ink that came with the printer) The colors are vibrant and they pop.

I have a son about to start college in the Fall and this is very good he can print from his computer or phone. I had no problem setting it up and getting started. Print quality is better than any printer I have ever owned. I really like the paper trays and the touch screen. I am recommending this printer to all my family and friends. I have not found anything that I do not like about this printer. I have owned many printers and so far this is my favorite. I do not have a land line to use the fax but I am sure it is easy to set up and use as well. I love the fact that you do not have to have wires connected and can place this printer across the room or where ever you need to put it. It is a very nice printer and a nice size. I know we are going to get great printouts with high quality color no fading or smears.
