I use it as a combo
I was orinally prescribed this medication in the exact same dose to be used in combination with flonase daily, to provide relief from seasonal allergies. When I ran out of my prescription I decided to buy this genetic "Zertec" from Walmart in order to avoid another lengthy, time consuming Dr. visit. The results were exactly the same. This medication combined with "genetic Flonase"(both Equate brand) worked wonders. I do take them at night as the do make me drowsy, and since I suffer from insomnia issues, they really are a win-win for me! My children have been prescribed the same combo by their pediatrician for years during allergy season and it always works wonders for them too! Talk to your Doctor and see if the combo is appropriate for you too.

Box looked like dog chewed it. ( not the envelop
The box that the Pills came in looked like a dog chewed it and the only reason my wife is keeping them is the main bottle looked unopened. Someone consciously placed. It I. An envelope like that !

    Equate Doesn't Equal Zyrtec
    I am a strong supporter of generic medicines. Why pay more for the name brand if the active ingredients are identical? Unfortunately the Equate Zyrtec missed the mark. This was my very first time suffering through an autumn allergy season. Zyrtec was my go to during the spring so I thought I would give Equate a try since I now had to buy allergy meds for two seasons. It stopped the sneezing and relieved the sinus pressure immediately so I was extremely relieved. Unfortunately the effects were short-lived. I only got relief for about 6 hours, and I was extremely drowsy as well. I am scared to take another pill in fear of falling asleep. Also, what's the point of saving when you have to double up on meds? Unfortunately, this Equate product just isn't equal.

    I have the same results as the prescribed product. if you dont have insurance to cover the prescribed medication. Then this is definitely the way to go.

    Good product
    Very effective product. This is the worst time of year for my allergies and I just got a cat. I'm not too smart I guess but I did find equate allergy relief and it's much better now

    Some claim it doesnt work as well as the name brand or prescription strength Zyrtec. But it seems to work well for me. Love the price and its effectiveness!

    Works like name brand.
    They most useful over the counter allergy for me. It worked like the name brand version's commercial advertises: starts working in an hour and works better the next day. This is a relatively inexpensive way to try the active medicine to find out if it works for you.
