Easy to use can opener
I received the Farberware portable can open to write an honest and unbiased review. In comes in a nice package which is easy to open. The can opener is a nice size and weight. It was easy to operate and opened the can with little effort. I received the black color which I love because it goes with everything in my kitchen. I would definitely recommend this can opener if youre looking for a new one!

Don't waste your money
Don't buy it! It doesn't work. There's something wrong with the design of it. It'll make the first cut into the can, but then won't continue on with the cutting process.

Because it was so compact I thought it would be difficult to use but it had no problem opening even large cans with a normal amount of effort. I had received this product to write a review but it became a big part of my kitchen supplies. My wife and I do a lot of vacationing in our motorhome, and storage space is valuable. The compact size and efficiency of this opener quickly replaced our bulkier opener. I highly recommend it, especially if space is an issue.SS

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/09/2023Comfortable in Hand and Cuts EasilyI received this Farberware Professional Portable Can Opener can opener for the purpose of real-world use and product evaluation. Don't be fooled by the "compact size" wording on the packaging- this hand-held can opener is very comfortable. I placed it next to the older can opener I had in the kitchen and the Farberware one is in total length more compact, however, the hand grips are larger by about 5/8 in. My hands are on the larger size- I go right for gloves labeled "XL" when shopping but this can opener fit nicely in my hand. I clenched it's handles closed in my hand and each time, the Farberware Professional Portable Can Opener effortlessly cut right into the top of the can. Turning the Farberware handle to advance the cut around the can was just as easy. I have made pretty good use of this Farberware can opener in a short time having made a batch of chili (opened about 12 cans), a pot of spaghetti sauce (about another 12 cans), and kid's lunches so the cans were anywhere from between tuna fish sized cans up to larger 28 oz. sized cans of tomatoes. Every cut was crisp- no having to pry and twist to totally remove the lid. Cleans up well, too!PhilH

I ordered one two months ago and had to throw it away. And now my wife ordered the same one ?, not knowing I just threw one away and it doesn't cut. I wonder if this company is even testing this piece of junk. I'm never buying Farberware stuff again.Rita

Also, it did not come with directions and it is very hard to turn the handle.Kristen

This can opener is actually better than I initially thought it was going to be. I was on my way to purchase a new can opener when this one arrived so I was pretty happy when I used it and realized how well it actually works! It is very light weight and almost feels “cheap” but isn't cheap at all. It's really easy to use, works great and is easy to clean. My kids don't have a hard time holding or spinning it which is a huge plus!! It's not huge and bulky so it fits nicely in the drawer and has a limited lifetime warranty. The info for the warranty is listed clearly on the back of the package along with cleaning instructions. This would be an amazing house warming gift and it's under $6! I actually just bought one for my brother in law because he liked mine so much.Jessica
