It was very difficult to get a consistent texture on entire surface. If an area is touched after 20 seconds of application, it is extremely tacky and leaves raised dimples. Must put on quickly or it will begin to set before you get it spread nicely. I finally got it right on my 3rd can. 5th application attempt. Knew not to set anything heavy or anything hot. Wife opened a cabinet and a salt shaker fell out. A deep divet is now the only thing I see when looking at countertop. I am looking to get another can shipped to me because of COVID-19, but it appears you can't have 8t tinted and shipped. Is that correct? I don't see where to choose color.

Garbage
This is the email I sent to Rust-oleum and it sums it up well enough: I bought a can of your Rust-oleum Specialty Countertop Coating and refinished the Countertops in my kitchen. My wife and I were very careful to follow all of the manufacturer's application instructions because this was a relatively cheap solution to our problem of horrible 70's green. All went well enough through application and we didn't touch it for 4 days ensuring that it had ample time to set. Once we started using it the shortcomings were clear, this stuff can't take heat and it gets sticky. NOWHERE on the box does it list its limitations. Now I admit that on your website I found information on this stating that it should be protected from hot stuff, but even there it says "hot cookware or other heated objects" which suggests to me a more extreme heat. Shouldn't that be located on the sales packaging?!? Or at least on a paper in the box?! I shouldn't have to go to your website to see these limitations. I brought home a pizza from Pizza Hut and set it on the counter for no more than 2 minutes and the finish was warped beyond repair. If that wasn't enough, things that normally sit on the counter without moving for extended periods of time: bowls of fruit, cookbooks and canisters of flour or large cooking utensils stick to the finish and pull off chunks of it. There are pictures on your box of canisters and a toaster sitting on your product and I think that is misleading. Now I have to problem of trying to remove this product. I honestly thought that with as easily as it pulls off on the bottom of my canisters that it would scrape right off, but it doesn't. It looks like we're going to have to use paint stripper but we painted the cabinets at the same time so now we'll have to take extreme care not to damage that finish. Do you have any recommendation on how to best remove this product? I realize that I can't expect for much from an inexpensive can of paint, but I would expect that if a product has this many limitations it should be well documented on the package with warnings or something.

Doesnt last! Impossible to apply evenly.
Didnt last. My husband I bought this kit elswhere but I wanted to warn people since I am online looking for a different solution right now! I see others had the same experience. We followed all instructions and had the same problems with getting an even texture at ALL (dimpling and lifting with seconds of trying to roll with foam roller and uneven shine) and after curing it still lifts and chips soo easily. It got too warm near a utilty door here in the desert and a plastic bag with flour in it literally left words on the counter! Find something else. Tons of work for a product that doesn't last! A shame since we love the color we tinted it.

    Not happy!
This did not come tinted nor was there an option when ordering it to tint it. No email was recieved to order a certain tint and when i contacted walmart regarding the issue i recieved no response. When i recieved the box, the box was damaged and opening up the box realized the can was also dented and some of the contents leaked out!
