Great Game
The product is a strategy game for two that takes quite a while to complete. It's more geared towards adults vs children. The box and content inside is of a high quality material. It definitely feels like a premium product. The game itself is unique in the way that you can have an endless choice of possibilities to get your character customized so each gameplay will not be the same. Although challenging it can provide hours of endless fun. I would recommend to friends and family alike.

Interesting but complicated
This is a pretty interesting game but it has a ton of rules that will take a while to understand. it's certainly not an easy, quick game. Also, I would only recommend this game to serious gamers that are willing to put in the time to learn and be immersed in the experience. The quality of the pieces and the packaging is phenomenal.

    Inclusive and unique
    This is definitely a unique game - two-player game only. You work together, or potentially at cross-purposes, to simulate a relationship. You are each working towards some secret objectives as well, so it's not just about finding a certain level of success. Overall I found this to be a unique title and worth having in your collection if you like the themes - I also appreciate that this has a gay version with male/male cover art, which is the one I bought, so it is inclusive (there are several versions available).

    Truly Unique, Novel Board Gaming Experience - BUY
    Fantastic game. Unlike any other board game out there. Introduces many novel mechanics and takes a genre of board games that has historically been terrible (and not very game-like) and turns it completely on it's head. I've never had so much fun simulating relationships (good and bad!). Additionally, the art design is spectacular. Fog of Love is most certainly one of the most beautiful games I own.

    Great Game for 2
    The packaging on this game is very well thought out. The details are incredible. It took us a bit of time to get thru the rules but well worth it. it really gives you perspective into the other player. We had some great laughs playing this an would highly recommend it. Make sure to read all the rules.

    Phenomenal game with lots of role-playing fun!
    I am not surprised that Fog of Love was named the game of the year by many, it is truly sensational and, well, different from any other board game you ever played. Most importantly, it is not just a board game, it is primarily a role-playing/story-telling experience with the board and cards providing you clues for building a story. With that in mind, I think it’s extremely important that both players feel comfortable with role-playing and understand that every decision that they make in this game should not be “what-they-typically-would-do”, but rather “what-this-specific-character-would-do”. I played this game with a few friends and some of them definitely felt more comfortable with role-playing, others found it a bit silly. Quality (+1): First, I would like to comment on the quality of the game – it is simply impeccable. You can tell that the authors put a lot of thought into every detail and it makes playing the game more enjoyable. Setup (+1): despite the fact that the game is quite complex, they did a great job providing a tutorial which makes it a lot easier to learn the game. So if you are not really into reading long instructions, just jump into playing a tutorial and have fun. At the beginning you will be prompted to create a character, chose a story line and then play the scene cards. Each scene will ask you to make a choice and play it out, the choices you make will have an effect either on one or both players and this is how you gain/loose tokens in the game. The number of tokens define your character satisfaction and your final destiny. Strategy (-1): this is where I still struggle a little bit, because the game does not have one obvious target: the overall goal is to satisfy your character’s destiny that you keep in secret from another player, but it is not as straightforward as it may seem. Based on the destinies both partners choose, the game is played either cooperatively, competitively, or semi-cooperatively. Also, since destinies may change a few times throughout the game, it can be hard to define a clear strategy. Playability (+1): if you are into story-telling, you can play this game again and again as it provides a variety of character traits/features and many scenes to play. So every game will be different even if you play same plots. Fun factor (+1): a lot of fun – a rare game that mixes personal relationship with meticulous strategy: expect to play a romantic experience with all the joy and drama. It is called a “romantic comedy” and you can play it with your partner or a friend. Overall, time well spent! I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review

    Best 2 player game ever made!
    I just got my order and after playing the tutorial I came back to buy more copies for friends and family. This is irrefutably the most deep, intuitive, story drive, enjoyable to play, and yet stunningly simple and accessible game I’ve ever played. If you can relax enough to enjoy a good romance with a sweetheart then you will love playing this game.

    Adjust Your Expectations
    If you want an experienced review, there are many written and video reviews online. I suggest going there to help you determine if this modern board game is for you. Although new to modern board gaming hobby, and allergic to space themes, dungeon crawlers and incessant dudes on a board, this game meets the bar with outstanding theme, out of box thinking, beautiful art and admirable courage. I no doubt that there will be a multitude of “real gamers" who will find this game less than satisfactory. But for what it is, it is absolutely astounding. The theme is unique and comes through, but the game mechanics are essentially role playing with a touch of point salad. There is no hardcore strategy to win, because the joy is in the playing. And if you can't accept those conditions, this is not your game. I thought the game was thoughtfully and mindfully designed. It took care to integrate the kinds of relationship scenarios you are to encounter in a given romantic set up. The care and love that went into this design is enough for me to buy and keep this game, because I am a hobbyist. I do not have the words to describe the courage this designer must of had to overcome biases that exist in the gaming community for this kind of work. I will say, this is only fun with the right person. My husband felt it was fine, but I could see playing with some of my best friends and having a very good time mining our love experiences into the game. It's just a nice way to share time with someone you are close to. Plus, you really do have to have some self insight about relationships and the choices one makes when in them. (Thus, really a game for adults only though the themes are often benign.) If you want a true competitive game, this is not for you. If you like small role playing, lots of player interaction, laissez faire attitude towards points or winning and the curiosity to try something experiential then I would submit, this game will meet those needs. Whether you enjoy it, is personal. But you cannot diminish what you have in your hands...a beautiful experiment in modern board gaming. I hope you can appreciate the game as much as I do. I admire the courage to make this in a world that is less than hospitable to empathy.

    Its All Clear for Fog of Love
    This game is truly unique and it can be looked at from two different angles. One is that you have to manage your made up character's wants(yes this is a minor role playing game as the characters you are playing are not you) and desires to fulfill your destiny. The other is to learn and better understand your partner's needs and wants. It's a game of give and take once you start learning more and more about what your partner's desires are. If you are familiar with being in a relationship it can be similar to that. It's definitely weighing your own desires against your partner. I would say that this co-opemtition (co-op/competitive) game is different than anything else I have ever played. The tutorial is easy enough to understand while it teaches you as you play (the coolest board game tutorial out there!) that I could teach it to anyone without having a problem. Most of the game is do exactly what is on the card, but the choice is up to you to make. So who is this for? I joined the community a few years back after playing pandemic and have sought after deeper games than Yahtzee, Sorry, Monopoly, and even Catan and I feel as though the strategy needed for this game is deep. My purpose for buying this was to play a game with my wife that I thought she would enjoy as she doesn't enjoy my 2-3 hour long game sessions, but still enjoys playing board games with me form time to time. The concept, overall theme and 90 minute play time was right up her alley. With that I think we both got a lot of it and is a great game for multiple types of gamers. I would also say that I have played this with my buddy (I am a male, and he is a male), and it was just as fun. Both of us played as females, and he pretty much tanked our fake relationship, but it was fun trying to figure out what he was doing and as he was doing I was trying to become the heartbreaker (one of the destiny cards in the game). I think it goes without saying though, you do not have to play this with your significant other to have a good time. My suggestion when buying this and playing it: Don't go in thinking this is a game where you are going to learn more about your partner's wants/desires. In it's heart this game is a roleplaying, meaning you are making up the fake characters. You will be disappointed if you go in thinking this is something it is not. With the beautiful components, excellent story, and unique concept you will have a wonderful time playing this game with just about anyone especially if you go in wanting to have fun!

    Game helps you create so FUN stories
    Fog of Love is hands down the most interesting game I've ever played. It's something between a board game and role-playing game. It's neither competitive nor fully cooperative. That may confuse some. It's certainly not like anything I've ever played. It emulates a relationship and accomplishes to tell a new story each time I've played it. The stories linger in me afterwards. I've been a manipulative female advertising manager who was converted into being the most devoted Mormon baker (and barely succeeded ending happy in her relationship). I've been an fun-loving and conservative royal heir who dated her weak-willed psychologist. I've been the most romantic doctor dating a nurse (jup... very stereotypical), getting married and then enjoying a life full of bliss. The game offers lots of game play (it’s an ongoing mindgame to navigate between your own and your partner’s needs) and seems endlessly replayable. Each time you play you are a new character and the choices you make mean something new. I love playing it with my wife. Funnily enough it's also a blast with my friends.
