Finger lickin good!
This chicken is a great buy at $1.99 per pound. It is fairly clean and such large breasts , I cut them in half so that one breast makes two servings, they are so thick. I love to use these to make cornflake coated chicken breast and bake them, sprayed with a little oil.

    Bones, fat and bloody veins
Product quality has significantly diminished over the years. Not trimmed, will need to watch for bones and dig out the bloody veins. I don’t mind trimming some fat, but it’s getting ridiculous. Found bone well over an inch long, and have found several in the past that were small enough to be missed (and sharp!). Definite choking hazard.

    Untrimmed and Bone-In chicken
This was absolutely ridiculous. When I’m paying $16 for “boneless, skinless” chicken, it would be nice to receive what I’m paying for. I’ve never been so irritated about chicken, but I spent 1 hour deboning and trimming the 4 packages I got. The amount of meat that I lost because I don’t have the proper knife for this sucked, but I had so much skin, bone, and TALONS in my chicken. This is absolutely absurd to be charging so much and then not following through on what the package claimed! Very disappointed with this!

walmart - expired, slimy, smelly chicken
Purchased 5 lbs 2/6 via Walmart pick up. walmart selects a pack that expires 2/7. Started to make dinner only to realize I paid full price for 5 lbs of smelly, slimy chicken. Clever way to clear their shelves of old product - fob it off on Walmart customers too lazy to pick their own groceries.

    Totally disgusting
These almost always have bones in them. The last order actually had a wad of metal in it. Do not buy this. Walmart only refunded the cost of the chicken itself and nothing for the inconvenience

Watch the price on the actual package vs what you are charged when doing pick up orders especially in weighed items I was charged ?$17.22 for chicken that was priced $10.13

    paying double for lower quality
seems like for the past 6 months the quality of this chicken has tanked. usually a pack will last almost a week in the fridge but now goes bad within two-three days. finding tons of bones, etc as well which will increase the cost. price per pound has doubled in a year so we are paying more for lower quality. do better walmart. also finding more chicken like in the picture - with a spaghetti texture. definitely not eating that.

Chicken fat was gray. I started trimming the fat off and every piece I picked up looked worse than the last. This picture was taken minutes after my husband returned home with our order.

2-3 x the sodium of other brands!!!
If the nutrition labels are correct, there is a huge difference in the sodium content of these three products. Comparing fresh chicken breasts that list the ingredients as only "Chicken" with no other additives, Walmart's brand is double or triple that of Tyson and Perdue. Walmart is the only label that says "less than 2% retained moisture" ... however it would be a reasonable conclusion to draw that added sodium would increase the amount of fluid retained in the meat (just like humans) which would cause the chicken to weigh more... and cost more. I know Walmart's FROZEN chicken is infused with a sodium solution because it is listed on the label. The fresh chicken in the meat case says no such thing. Walmart, you can do better.
