Rack destroyed bike first use. PleaseDO NOT BUY!!!
Rated for 200lbs, tire mounts BENT holding a single 60lb bike on one 120mile drive from Phoenix to Tucson. Cheap foam coating on frame support ground through entirely and DESTROYED my brand new $2000 bike frame before i even got to ride it. Please please dont buy this product. Its really unstable, 100% not safe for anywhere near what its rated and could destroy your bike like it did mine. The tire mounts are IMPOSSIBLE to tighten safely. They will tip and bend and move. Photos show destruction of the rack. The bike frame is being repaired by a welder to fill the gouge in the frame. Im both upset and angry and am contacting the company for compensation as walmart would only refund the rack itself

    Best bag for buck
Very good rack for the price. After reading the 1's and 2's reviews I knew a few modifications were in order to beef up the rack for my 70lb eBike. The hoop mount that the tires fit in need strengthened. Easily done for a DIY guy Simply drill 1/4” hole all the way thru the center of the bracket and lock down with nut and bolt. Also replace the wing nut and bolt with a better grade nut and bolt and tighten down firmly with self locking nut.

    A heavy-duty 2-bike rack! Worth it!!!
I purchased this hitch/bike rack to support two Revi Cheetah e-bikes. These are big bikes, each with large, 26", fat-tires weighing approximately 70-80 lbs. It works! However, for our particular bikes, it requires some modifications and extra reinforcement for ensuring the bikes remain secure onto the bike rack during transport. This hitch rack would work way better (for me), if the center post was just a few inches taller. Nonetheless, it does work to transport our bikes to various bike trails we want to use, and it doesn't rattle and otherwise seems strong enough to carry our bikes safely. For our particular bikes we use extra safety measures to secure and protect our bikes onto the carrier as the top, center hooks are not long enough to go over and around the tank covers of our bikes which have resulted in some dings and scratches to those tank covers. Nonetheless, for the price point, it's worth the effort to take extra measures for our particular ebikes with this rack. I imagine for most other bikes, this hitch rack would work very well, even for heavy electric bikes. I probably will replace the weak Velcro tire straps with something more secure and reliable, but the ones that come with the bike rack do work to some degree. Given the design of our bikes, I doubt there is a hitch rack that can support two of these bikes without similar issues. Had the center hooks that secure the top bar of the bikes been a little longer and wider and the tire straps had better quality velcro, I'd give it 5 stars instead of 4. For the price, it's hard to beat. Sure, you could spend a lot more for this feature or that feature available on other hitch rack bike carriers, (I researched many of them), but it's not always necessary. But, if you want a common-sense, heavy-duty bike carrier at a great price, the Fultyme RV 1300 hitch mount, 2-Bike Rack is hard to beat. Oh, and make sure if you put this on your car, truck or RV that you allow for the extra space needed to park it in your garage with the hitch on and rack folded (2-3 feet). Otherwise, you're going to need to take if off and on with each use and with the threaded-bolt hitch pin, it takes extra time to install/uninstall.

    Economic solutions
Rated to carry 200 lbs, 2” receiver fits all our vehicles, we tested it over the Maine Scenic highways, 750 miles of travels in various road conditions. Appears sturdy, foldable and fair quality for the investment. After ordering I noticed that it stated not for use with EBikes or RVs, oops, seems fine to me.

    Beware
Hitch failed on the 2nd use. The rubber sleeve on the retaining hook split and I lost a 2K bike on the freeway. Contacted Fultyme support and no reply. Fultyme phone number Walmart supplies is for another company.

    Sturdy
Pro's: 1) Made of thicker tubing than many others. Very sturdy. 2) Easy to convert from folded/transport position to use position. 3) Easy to change fastening system to adapt to any bike style. 4) Capable of firmly securing bikes with safety pins to make sure nothing moves. 5) Has a screw in hitch pin that prevents rattling and bouncing of rack within the hitch. Cons: 1) The racks for the wheels are not adjustable width-wise. They are very wide, presumably for electric bikes. 2) Could use a light kit. The lights you see in my picture did NOT come with it.

    Be careful
Be very very careful putting ebikes on this rack. The wheel wells that slide left to right that adjust to the length of the bike frame is fairly thin metal. The wells will bend under the weight of the bike and eventually the bike will want to fall over because it slowly falls out of the vertical hook that holds it on the rack.

    Excellent buy
This Fultyme tray style 2-bike rack is an excellent buy. The welds are very nicely done, and the design is very functional. I love how compact it gets for moving and storage. There is some play in the sliding clamps that adjust the positions of the wheel holders and the top hooks, but bikes are held securely enough and will not go anywhere. Use the wire-lock safety pins that go in the vertical bar in the correct position -- i.e. in the first hole above each of the sliding clamps so the clamps cannot slide up and off, thereby releasing the bike. If you are concerned about nuisance theft, run one or two cable locks through the bikes and get 2 lockable clevis/hitch pins, one for the hitch connection and one for the elbow joint of the bike rack. A pro thief will get past any lock regardless of whether the rack comes with a lock.
