Seems great, so far
I have only gotten a chance to use this GraniteRock non stick frying pan once, but it did seem like it would be a very nice pan for any food that would may be otherwise sticky or hard to get clean. I noticed it seemed to heat up fast and well. All the heat seemed pretty even throughout the whole pan. I had used it to cook chicken and it did great. The pan heated the pre cooked chicken from my fridge great without burning the outside and leaving the inside cold. Then I added the ingredients to make my own Asian orange sauce. It thicken perfectly yet never made my chicken too hard. It was sticky and I allowed it to bubble and thicken yet every time I noticed I was able to swipe the pan with a spatula while cooking and every time there was no sticking to the pan the whole time. Usually it sticks to my other pans. I was able to scoop out all my food that I cooked and eat. Then I left the pan overnight but not soaking. I just left it out all sticky to see how it would wash up the next day and it did great! It went through a normal wash and came out perfect! It looks like a brand new pan and no food on it even though half the things that come out of my washer need rewashed because no one rinses them or barely does if they are super bad. I cannot wait to try this with eggs. I am thinking it is going to be my new favorite pan. Based on how it did with the sticky sauce I would say it could handle eggs or anything with minimal clean up or just throw it in the dishwasher.

BEWARE! NOT AS ADVERTISED!!!!
This pan is NOT a nonstick frying pan! Just like any other pan, you have to use oil, butter, Pam.... SOMETHING to help with the nonstick. Tried to make eggs this morning and they stuck like glue to the pan.... DO NOT BUY THIS, NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!

    Does not work as advertised
I was super excited to use this pan, but was super disappointed when I got to use it. It is very durable and is scratch resistant. Easy to clean and use. However, it is not as non-stick as is advertised. My husband used it on our electric stovetop to scramble eggs (with no butter or oil as it states) and the eggs didn't turn out so well. Thinking that maybe the coil was too hot, I attempted to make another plate of scrambled eggs on medium to high heat and it still stuck to the pan. However, it was easy to scrape off stuck eggs and clean. I did try making pancakes with this pan and they didn't stick (no butter was used)! Will be using this pan for other dishes besides eggs. We haven't made any sunny-side-up eggs yet, maybe this type of egg won't stick to the pan?

    LOVE THIS SKILLET
Let me start by saying I prefer stainless steel. No matter what brand of teflon or "coated" sets I buy, they always seem to peel at some point. This skillet says not to use ANY OIL OR NONSTICK SPRAY, and I was like "excuse me." I have since cooked eggs, grilled cheese, pork, steak and sausage in this bad boy and haven't needed a single drop of anything. It wipes out with a paper towel. I use a plastic spatula in it as it also calls for nothing sharp, which is how it is with these coated pans. I need to see if they offer other items with this line.

Non-stick when it feels like it.
I received this product in exchange for my honest review through the SparkReviewer program. This pan is one of the As Seen on TV products. I fall for those products all the time so I saw this as my chance to try a new one. The main function of this pan is to be non-stick. It even says that it is not intended to be used with oil or butter. And on the back of the little instructions that come with it, it specifically tells you how to cook eggs in it. So our first food cooked in it was eggs. Following the pan's instructions (cook on low to medium heat) that's exactly what we did. Well those eggs sure did stick to the pan. So much so that the yolk was broken and the egg white did not get crispy at all. Let's just say if those weren't the last two eggs that we had they would have been thrown out and we would have went for a different pan. Now once the pan cooled and it was safe to touch, a slight movement of the finger and a flick of the wrist and the egg came right off. It was definitely non stick then, but not so much during cooking. This pan can be hand washed or put in the dishwasher. It is oven safe up to 500 degrees. And you can use metal utensils with this pan. Overall this pan cooks well and evenly, but I sure wont be cooking eggs in it again.

    Ultra Durable Scratch-Resistant Frying Pan
These are the best mostly non stick pans I have ever used. However we cook at home everyday at least two meals a day. I have had to replace the pans at about the 1 year mark since I started using them. That being said that is a huge improvement from the 3-4 months for every other type of pan I have used. The pots have lasted about 2 years. I would recommend never using cooking spray, only using oil (never olive oil because of the low flash point) or butter etc. Also hand washing greatly increases the life of the pan. Which is a breeze. But since they don't last more than a year with heavy cooking I can't give a 5 star.

    My new FAVORITE frying pan!
The GraniteRock Non-Stick Scratch-Resistant Frying Pan can be used for cooking, frying and baking. – and that versatility is a good thing! It is non-stick and has been designed to be used without butter or oil. In fact, the recommendation is to avoid using a non-stick spray. It can be used in the oven safely up to 500F and is dishwasher safe. The pan is made of aluminum and triple-coated to provide a non-stick surface. It is "green" and toxic-free, and comes in sizes that are 10", 11" and 12". Before deciding to try this pan, I perused some reviews to get a feeling for the overall take on this pan, and indeed the reviews were mixed. That said, I like to try things out for myself and see where my own point of view falls. Right away I noticed the metal handle and that made me uneasy given I prefer pans with a silicone handle. With a gas stove, one has to be careful when using potholders, especially when you have other burners turned on. Still, it was a concern for me given I don't use a potholder to grab the handle of any pan. One of my first tests was cooking a rather thick NY strip steak in ghee, which is typically done on medium-high to achieve the char I want. Keeping a close eye on the handle with my potholder nearby, I noticed that the handle didn't begin to get warm until about 5 minutes on medium high and about 5 minutes on medium. When I turned the steak, I was surprised that the steak didn't stick to the pan because it always sticks to the pan that I typically use. Even so, the real test for me was an omelet in the morning. My second test was an omelet topped with diced serrano peppers and cheddar cheese. I literally anticipated to be scraping the omelet out of the pan! I initially heated the pan on medium, and then reduced it to medium low to low as I always do. I was really shocked to find that not only did the omelet not stick to the pan when I flipped it, but the cheese didn't really stick to the pan either. My third omelet test was a success as well. Final thoughts: It is a welcomed surprise to actually find a pan that claims to be non-stick actually live up to its name. I have had a few pans over the years and none of them have truly been non-stick, and while I dislike using non-stick sprays, there hasn't been much of a choice. I felt like the pan heated up quicker than I anticipated, and it heated evenly. If I have fans on even 15 feet away, the air movement tends to move the flame and typically only half of my normal pan heats up, but not this pan. Its heat distribution is very even. Also, very interesting - the handle of the pan didn't even heat up when I was cooking my omelet. Even so, the potholder was nearby. My only complaint, if you will, is that there doesn't seem to be any type of lid that can be purchased to fit this pan. Sometimes you need a lid to retain moisture, such as with cooking chicken. Also, the inserts accompanying the pan state that the company provides a lifetime warranty, but to replace or repair a damaged pan, you must send $9.95 for processing and handling. Even so, the price point for this pan is fair, and if this pan is treated properly, it should last a long time. I am very pleased with this pan from GraniteRock and will absolutely be looking for more items in their product line to replace more pans that need to retire.

    Eggs Just Slide Out!
I really like this pan! Absolutely no oil necessary. It's very lightweight and I also appreciate that the handle doesn't get warm. I made breakfast this morning using the pan. My omelettes tend to stick, but the eggs easily slid out of the pan and left the pan virtually clean. The attached pictures show the pan with the eggs as well as what it looked like right after. I didn't even use a spatula to get it out, it just slid onto the plate. I also did fried eggs & bacon. It worked well for this too!

    Great non stick pan
I make eggs a lot with a ton of cheese. Scrubbing the pan afterwards is sometimes a huge challenge even with Teflon. I figured I would give the granite non-stick pan a try. I have to say I'm really impressed. I made both fried eggs and scrambled eggs with cheese without spray or butter and they slid right out of the pan. I took one star off because I wish the handle was thicker. It's a little thin so getting a great grip can be difficult.
