I like the flip top. Good bargain.
This is more convenient to use and 8 cents less expensive than the Kroger's store brand. I wish it came in a low or no salt variety, but I put the beans in a colander, than put the colander in a larger bowl and soak them for 10-15 minutes before using to remove excess salt.

For me the quality was was so bad I had trouble chewing them. A bland flavor and skin of the bean fell off in the warming process. I had to add seasoning in order to eat, and the outcome was not good. Pay the price for a better brand as this is a waste in my opinion.

I let them cook till my dinner time. The soup the soup is so good on a winter night. I live alone and I get 2 to 3 meals out of one can.IndianaGirl

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/01/2020Mild bean flavorThese have a very mild flavor that does not over power. They are small light beans full of fiber. The taste is mild compared to the other northern beans on the market we have tried. These ate out favorite. I just drain a little, add my favorite spices and a little olive oil. I recommend these.FlaGrandma

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/12/2017Very Fresh TastingWe truly enjoy the Great Value Northern Beans in the can. They are very fresh tasting and I was actually surprised at how fresh tasting they are. I do still cook dry beans at times but it is so much faster and easier to open a can, especially when there is only two of us in the household. At times we don't want a five course meal. A can of these beans with some pepper, onions, and cornbread is very filling and delicious. Very economical too.mrblueu
