Defective, junk
When I wear a RED head lamp, I do not have insects flying in my face like I do with a white head lamp. BUT these red bulbs attract insects. No point in putting them in the porch light is they are going to attract as many insects as a white light

    Like!! Except for the one that was broken!!!
    I really like these red bulbs… However, one was broken during delivery to my house!!! This is Texas… So summers are full of flying thing's, especially at night because they're drawn to light! Red lights seem to work the absolute best at not attracting anything!

    Have a newborn? These bulbs are great so you can see but not bother your newborn at night with bright lights. Cheaper than Home Depot and Amazon. Also like the bulbs because the are LED.

    Cool looking blue colored lighting
    These lights are awesome for the holidays. I change them out to this awesome blue color for Halloween and for the Fourth of July party. Paired up with all the other colors from Halloween looks awesome and also for the 4th of July pairing it with the red light is so cool looking.

    The most amazing freaking light!
    So I have “blue eyes” and a sensitivity to sunlight as well as bright street lights and those produced by car and truck head light beams, especially at night. It also doesn't help matters, l suppose, that l am looking at computer screens all day…as well . By using the red bulbs (and ditching the standard 60 watt white bulb l was using) in my lamp in the living room - my eyes are no longer strained and l can move about my entire apartment using this one red light bulb “at night”, which is , for me totally amazing. It's also great in terms of maintaining my night vision no matter how much l get up at night to go to the bathroom . You know how you squint when you enter a room and have to turn you light in real quick and you get “hit with the light” like it was a phaser hit on Star Trek. Y'all be “squinting your eyes” acting like Dracula when you open the curtains on him and let the sun shine in… Before even a led white led nightlight would frankly speaking, be too much for me sometimes. Having spent years in the military , suffering PTSD l have come to see “red light” in many ways as a kind of friend. One that won't destroy my night vision capability., I feel safe in the red light… l know sounds totally weird right? So that's my story …and l had to write a review on this amazing light bulb which only operates on 7.5 watts and doesn't get all hot to the touch right away like the other white one did. I don't mean to sound dramatic… ok so l do wish to sound dramatic. This “life bulb” as l call it -changed my freaking life… and Walmart made it possible. I think I'm going cry now. P. S. I won't be a verified purchase in this case as l had a friend buy the bulbs for me at Walmart using cash.. ho..ho. The one thing Walmart can't track yet… give it time.
