As advertised
The Greatcall flip is what we needed for my father in law. The phone is easy to use with large buttons. The functions use a simple yes no response so it has been easy to get him to use the phone. There have been just a few glitches with set up but the customer service at Greatcall came to rescue. I would recommend this for anyone wanting a phone for an elderly person.

Disappointed
Got to say I was disappointed when I opened box, it is a red jitterbug but not the one pictured, I guess it is a older model.

    Great little phone
    I bought this phone for my wife and she loves it! We are older and she doesn't take to the new ways much and I had other cell phones for her but she couldn't hear them and couldn't see the numbers, well with the "Jitterbug" all that has changed, she takes it with her everywhere and with the speaker on she hears the conversations clearly. I would highly recommend this phone for all my senior friends.

    I purchased the Jitterbug for my elderly parents. They are now actually using a cell phone! others were too confusing for them - so it sat on the table. Its so easy and the large buttons are great for seniors to see easily. I would highly recommend.

    My Father Loves His New GreatCall Flip Phone!
    I purchased a plan thru GreatCall for my Father 2 years ago. The main reason is because of the 5-Star. All he has to do is press the 5-Star red button for emergency help. He loves the large numbers, the high volume and the easy to use large keypad. This was his first phone and he loves it and I do too. I now feel comfortable knowing that he can get help anytime he needs it. I had to purchase him a new phone since he broke his and I did not purchase the insurance. The GC representative told me that I could purchase a new phone at any store. He also stated that Walmart currently had theirs on sale. My father loves it, because it is now even larger in size! I would highly recommend for a child or elderly person.

    Perfect for my 91 year old Mom!
    Walmart was very quick to ship the phone. I set my Mom's service up with GreatCall, and all went very smoothly. She just wanted a phone that made calls, nothing fancy. It can text message, take photos, etc., but it does a terrific job at just being a phone. I would recommend this phone for anyone who has low vision or hearing loss. My Mom is delighted with the phone and ease of use.

    I am very pleased with the Jitterbug phone. It is perfect for my Dad, who only needs a easy to use flip phone. He wants to say hello and goodbye! LOL It has a nice camera on it, has a phone book and an emergency button for any health situation that may occur.

    Jitterbug for elderly parent
    The Jitterbug is perfect for my elderly parent! The text is large so easy to read and respond with the large buttons and it's straightfoward and easy to use...my parent had problems swiping the previous smartphone...now it's easy to just flip it open and make or answer a call.

    The phone is excellent.The drawback are the extra charges. Add $3 per month to get "left messages" - about $5 per month for hte "emergency" button and for $15 per month you only get 200 mintes.Add $25 + $6 taxes for activation. The phone is great for the older person we bought it for.Big buttons and fairly easy to use.

    I picked this up for my sister, she absolutely loves it. Very senior friendly. If you order the phone directly from Great Call there is no activation fee, and the price for the phone works out to be the same. Also if ordered from Great Wall it will already be activated when you receive it.
