Long Time Customer
I appreciate keeping my information to myself rather than using a Tax Service. I first used H&R in the mid 90's when my tax preparer decided to go into another vocation. Left in the lurch, I bought an H&R program. Through the years, that is a lot of taxes!! My favorite part is that I can take my time, go back to a certain section and check my entries or change them. The program also guides you every step of the way. All this from the privacy of your own home!

Stay away at all costs from buying this download from Walmart. I ordered the product at 9:30am hoping to start my return. I did not get the download link until 6:30pm that evening. I downloaded the file and ran it to install. This H

    Navigation issues
    I've used this software for many years, and for some reason, I found it difficult to navigate this year. I could find a form or interview for a form, but it constantly would continue on even if I had already completed a section. Also I had difficulty with my mileage deductions since I have two different C schedules, keep track of mileage for each one with the same vehicle, but the software would only take one deduction for the car rather than a separate deduction for the car for each business.

    Reproducible Results Each Year
    Pretty Easy To Use but there are errors in Schedule A that have been there for YEARS and go uncorrected. It has a 5 Federal e-file upload capacity, but who really needs that many. I refuse to pay to send in state. They should drop 2 federal filings and add free state to the package. Calculations seem to be good. Each year pulls certain data from the previous year to reduce the need to retype info.

    Love H&R Block
    Easy to use. By clicking whatever applies to you, the next screen lets you enter your details (numbers). The hardest part about doing your own taxes is gathering your information. If you cannot finish and have to exit, it's easy to save and return. I've been using this program for many years. Each new tax season the program will import the last year's data. Never pay an accountant again. It's affordable.

    You get what you pay for.
    Less than happy with the product. Top version of software does has quite a few areas that are not well supported or integrated. On line support or chat was less than inspiring. Overall cheaper than turbo tax and tax act, but you get what you pay for.

    Software good, but IRS does not want me to e-file.
    It was relatively straight forward to use. My only issue is that the IRS would not accept the e-file, because the AGI from the previous year did not match. I called the hotline and the IRS verified that I had correct figure, but my return was still being rejected. This is the second year in a row that I have not been able to e- file and submitted a paper return.

    Great tool
    Takes you step by step and helps you know how much you owe as you add w2s and other income, and then how much your deductions help you. If you don't know, you just go through anyway and the questions will help it figure out if you need to turn in anything for that topic. Still could use help understanding the whole investment part, though…

    Best tax software on the market!
    We've used H&R Block software for decades. The software guides you through everything very carefully, and we especially appreciate the 1099 import feature where you can import all your capital gains/losses automatically. Wonder feature and make everything very easy.

    Best Way To Do The Dreaded Taxes
    Taxes are not fun, but H&R Block makes the task easier and simpler to understand with clear instruction. It also gives reminders for something that might otherwise be overlooked. I have used this software for many years and would highly recommend it..
