GREAT SOFTWARE ! ! !
I have used H&R Block software for many years and I have always had good success in getting the biggest refunds. It also checks for errors and helps me correct them before filing to avoid IRS audits. The firm also backs you up in the even of an audit if and when needed.

Wasted time in tax season
I spent over 7 hours trying to get the software to open. Most of that time was trying to gdt someone on the phone the rest was the convoluted way they had to walk me through the procedure. After the initial issue was resolved we had to do it all over again when we received a microsoft update. Please make certain your software is compatible with microsoft.

    Strange Happenings
    This year it got real quirky. Forms were automatically added even when I had no data indicating the form was needed. Declared Federal disaster losses that were indicated in the interview and listed were not calculated in the return. Getting them to be included in the return required an undocumented step (at least I found no direction to do this). For these large loses to actually be put in play on had to review the worksheet and then check the box for disaster loss a 2nd time otherwise your data went no where. Problems were experienced in several different returns, something that has not happened prior to the 2021 software. Not sure I will buy this software again. If one cannot trust it to simply do as it should why buy it? I am not a software tester nor a tax expert. They are supposed to have all the bugs removed prior to release or at least fix them early on.

    Not very good.
    We have mixed feelings about this package. We have used it for years so we do each year for the history. Overall it is not that great. Lots of confusion with IRA's in particular if you are don't qualify for the entire amount. Also confusing with topics like earned income credit and health insurance. I would look hard at other products.

    This software used to be good...
    I used HR Block software for years, but no longer. They dropped support for CARES act forms (which was supported last year) and only solution offered by them is to file in-person, which defeats the purpose of tax software!! No refund for the software price paid either! Waste of cash. The small business tax software has less than zero documentation and really has no guidance like the personal tax software has. You pretty much need to be a CPA in order to use this correctly. Software gets 2 stars because it used to be good, that is the only thing saving it from 1 star.

    My review is a mixed review. The portion of the tax software for personal tax returns is great. The business software has issues opening and does not work properly . Have the same issue every year since 2018 and I have reached out for a solution and have received none , just only to purchase the software again

    Cannot Recommend in Good Conscience
    I've been using this program since 2003, so this is my 20th year with the TaxCut software. Honestly, it's garbage, and I hate it. It's not intuitive, and the explanations are quite frequently inadequate. The program does not import prior year returns consistently either (go read other reviews about this!), so you run the risk of having to start from scratch on an annual basis. I've had to do this more than once! It's no big deal if you're just doing a 1040-A or something simple like that, but if you're a small business owner like I am, it's a major hassle. Don't ask me why I keep giving them my money year after year.

    Improved since Taxcut but still less than complete
    PersonalTax program easy to use but missing a few items such as how to properly deal with LLC's income on K-1's. Not complete or thorough enough.Simple LLC's easy to file for using the business software but a bit tedious to navigate, especially if you prefer to send in paper filing.

    Cheap but limited features.
    It's good deal. Competitors business software including 1120 corporate return and 1041 trust are a lot more expensive. . but features of business are very limited. Had problems importing last years information and I have to enter information from scratch. And wish they have Mac version

    Program is bad. Eoes not prevent obvious errors.
    The program instructed/allowed me to calculate/ carry-over for charitable donations, when they were already automatically calculated into 2022 return; and then, it did not specify that this was the error ... when my return was rejected by the IRS. Terrible!! .. and led me to do something that is wrong. It also miscalculates est'd capital gains tax for ES-1040s.

    Recommend, but take your time.
    We use this program to do our own personal and business taxes. It offers explanations to ever line of entry. Our only issue is. Some of the explanations are extremely vague. And while there is a help section. It doesn't do much better giving better guidance. Thus why 4 stars and not 5. Botton line, take your time. Don't want to make the wrong decision and pay for it at the end.
