First Time Hedge Trimmer owner
Great trimmer for a first time hedge owner. Very user friendly out of the box. All I had to do was charge it when I got. Was able to do my whole front lawn while still having 75% left. It also has a cool feature that allows you to turn the trimmer sideways while keeping the handle straight. keeps me from holding it awkwardly. Awesome Trimmer !!!!!!!!

    First Hart I've bought and its awesome
    I will probably never go back to buying another brand. This trimmer was just perfect. I worked with it for 3 hrs and it continued to cut like the bushes were melted butter. The weight was perfect, the rotating handle helped to get better angles, and the charge held with no issues. It is a great product. I went through a 12x12ft square area that was 8 ft tall and simply cut it all down. The trimmer never even hiccups, it just kept going. I gave in before it did lol. I would definitely recommend this product.

    I rent and don't even need this, but I adopted a RR underpass that RR abandoned the upkeep and the city says it ain't theirs. I had noticed a mother having to use the street instead of the sidewalk because of the overgrown brush that came over the wall and onto the sidewalk. I used loppers for one side, yikes. Bit the bullet and got the trimmer. I wish I had got it sooner. It cut thru a mix of brush, trees, and vines no problem.

    Works like a knife cutting through butter !!
    I bought this 2 weeks ago. I'm very happy I did. It's saving me much manual labor on yard work. I have many bushes to trim. I am a little older and have trouble with gas starting lawn equipment. I have the mower, hedge trimmer, blower, and weed Wacker all by Hart. Very easy to start once you understand the safety features.

    The hedge trimmer is great, I recently started doing my own gardening around the house. I began purchasing Hart tools, so far so good. Battery takes little time to charge, and trimmer has very little weight which makes it so easy to maneuver. Product is definitely woman friendly.

    Good trimmer, less power than expected, but works
    This trimmer is a little less powerful than we had hoped, but it does have some advantages over other models. Our previous trimmer was an electric, plug in model. That had a major disadvantage of needing to juggle long extension cords to get to hedges on the side of the house without power outlets, or basically anywhere farther than 3 feet from an outlet. The Hart has a battery, which frees the user from cords, improving the safety of the user, who no longer has to juggle a power cord and a fast moving blade. Our only issue with this one, is it's less powerful. It cannot cut through thicker wood. It is great for the leafy, bushy part of plants. It cuts through the softer part of foliage with ease. But, if you want to trim down thicker woody sections of the hedge, tree or plant, you will need another tool. The battery for this works with several other tools in the Hart line of tools. The charger is very small compared to the size of the battery, but it works, it's just visually odd for those who are used to the batteries going into the charger rather than the charger attaching to the battery.

    Awesome hedge trimmer!
    This cordless hedge trimmer is amazing! I would describe myself as a beginner with yard work and this is perfect for me. It is very easy to use and set up. The battery was charged within about 30 minutes and then I was able to go to town all around my yard. I got a little carried away because it works so efficiently. There is a nice cover for the blade that you just slide on and off. The battery pops in and out very easily and holds a charge for a long time. I love that I do not have to smell gas or drag an extension cord all around the yard anymore. The trimmer cut through some branches that were an inch thick without difficulty. You can easily adjust the angle of the blade and handle in order to cut vertically or diagonally. I highly recommend this hedge trimmer. I would recommend it for a beginner or an expert. It works great!

    Very powerful
    This is a great hedge trimmer and I like it much better than a corded one, where the cord always gets in the way. In fact , I accidentally cut the cord off of my last trimmer. It is very powerful and the 2.5Ah lithium rechargeable battery stays charged long enough for most jobs. It has a one inch cutting capacity and trims at all angles with a 180 degree handle. It comes with a three year warranty and the battery is interchangeable with other Hart tools. The wrap around handle with safety guard is comfortable to use and the blade has a safety guard for storage. No assembly required.

    Very pleased!
    I got this 24 inch hedge trimmer, because it was big enough to reach my holly bushes that keep trying to take over my front walk. it comes already assembled all you have to do is charge the battery. the battery is big though with good weight. the charger is small and just slips on the top of the battery. it seemed to charge really fast, instructions said to charge most of the day, but I pressed the button on the battery itself and seemed to charge fully in a couple hours. the hedger is big and does weight a few pounds, nothing I can't handle though. there is a sheath for the blade so that is nice because it is sharp. Two things I love about this hedger are, first the way you turn it on, you press the black button on the handle where your hand naturally fits the grip and the second button is on the loop that goes around the top, so comfortable to use no awkward position to get it going. the second thing I love is, there is a blue lever on the handle where you can actually tilt the blade different angles, so you are always trimming at a comfortable angle! so genius, my arms were not strained after using this. when you turn it on, it's not super loud, and let the blade fully rotate before you start cutting. A couple of drawbacks I would have to say is the weight with battery, after I was done using this my hands were kind of shaky, and the sheath was super hard to pull off and put on. but these issues I think are some I could get use to after using the machine on a regular basis. definitely a powerful hedger, tore through my holly bushes with ease, will be looking to add to my tool collection with other pieces

    Well built cordless trimmer with nice features
    This seems to be a very well built cordless trimmer that is constructed of good weight materials and is well suited for trimming medium sized branches (claims up to 1 inch). Even though it is rated to cut branches up to 1 inch thick, my opinion is that this is the very max diameter and for continuous use, you should limit to .75” or smaller. The time I have spent using this, I mainly used it on medium thinner spaced branches and used my gas model on the large thick portions. This will allow me to use this lighter (8 lbs) weight trimmer on most of my hedge. The 24 in long blade is a nice feature that allows you to reach branches on a taller, wider hedge like mine. It also does not seem to bog down as long as you do not try to cut branches too large. The 40V Lithium battery charges relatively fast, is very powerful, and runs the tool for about 30 minutes with regular use. They offer a 5ah battery that will run longer on each charge, but the 2.5ah battery should be sufficient for most people. The tool only comes with one battery – it would be nice if it came with an extra battery. If I was going to use this as my main trimmer, I would definitely buy a second (the 5ah) battery. Some additional features – a sturdy blade guard, thick lined grip, and plastic hand grip shield. Another great feature is that the blade section rotates up to 90 degrees for ease of use on the sides of hedges. It also has a 5 year warranty – this is rare. Overall, if you are realistic with the branch size capacity, I think you will be happy with this purchase.
