Value for money!
It is surprisingly light weight, I wasn't expecting that! Great build quality, screen is perfect, sound quality is awesome! It is super fast thanks to the NvMe SSD and 10th gen core i7 Intel processor with 16 GB RAM. So far I'm loving the battery performance as well. Overall I'd say a very good job to HP and it is a complete value for money. I'd give it 5 stars. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Junk laptop straight out of the box
Bought this laptop cyber Monday and it had a multitude of issues straight out of the box. Slow, noisy, wifi connection problems, screen colors not properly aligned giving red and gray hazes in videos.... I'm giving HP a second chance on a replacement laptop and hoping I'm not let down twice. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Great customizable pc
    Everything about my HP product is awesome! I dont really have any issues with it at all other than the sound, its a pretty loud sound but for a high powered pc it needs the extra cooling power from the fans. Love how super light it is and how thin. Highly recommend the touchscreen. All in all, im a satisfied customer.

    Works okay but I have a few issues
    I have had this laptop for a few days now and it runs pretty fast, I like the backlit keyboard, and it has a nice display. Now my issues are that I paid extra to have a pale gold laptop and I received a silver one. Also the fan on the laptop keeps coming on and won’t turn off (The fan on the laptop comes on even when I am not using it), I have to shut down the computer completely to get it to turn off. I think it has an overheating issue or will develop one soon because the keyboard is sometimes hot to the touch. It’s an okay computer and I am a little disappointed, I feel like I should have gotten something else. Hopefully it starts working better. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

    Sleek!
    This laptop is super light weight and sleek. The silver finish gives this the perfect touch! It has 2 rubber type strips on the bottom to keep from sliding around. If you're using it on your actual lap it does annoy me a bit but I have a lap mat coming soon. The keyboard is a little textured and clicky like older models which I love. The mouse isn't my favorite it's a hard press like a cheaper one. Next onto the inside. For me it is super quick. I'm using it for email and the internet. For that it's super quick. I haven't tried a game yet so not sure how well it would perform. I have a good feeling it would work well. The colors/screen are nice & vivid. The battery life seems like it's super long! Also you get free trials of certain programs which is nice. Overall this sleek little laptop is pretty great! I would definitely recommend it!

    Lightweight, quick basic laptop
    I've never owned an HP laptop before but I'm happy to now! This laptop has performed great thus far. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is due to its lack of a disc drive (which I prefer in a laptop). Its sleek design and light weight make it portable and easy to use. Processing speed is super quick. I like that the keyboard characters are large and the layout is basic and self-understood. Downloading a new browser took seconds. I had a few web pages open at the same time and this did not slow down the speed at all.

    Nice travel laptop
    My first impression is that this would be a nice travel laptop, since it's just under 4 lbs. Took a couple of hours to fully charge. Touted to have a long battery life but it was down to 25% after streaming video for 4 hours. This was still decent though as continuous streaming is a battery hog. The first time setup is easy and friendly and guided by the Cortana voice assistant. The laptop is set up with Windows 10 Home which is is sufficient for the at-home user but it lacks advanced features. I didn't find this an issue as Microsoft has included many key features such as Outlook, Cortana voice assistant, Microsoft Edge, and OneNote. Windows 10 Home doesn't come with a full office suite. There is an opportunity for Office 365 trial which is aimed at new users. Windows 10 Home also comes with the nifty “Hello Sign-in” feature, which is a password-free sign-in that lets me quickly access my laptop securely. This PC offers more than enough for a home user who wants to use the PC for basic tasks, multimedia, and gaming. As I mentioned in the beginning....great for travel when I don't require a full-featured PC. I found the touchpad to be a bit sensitive when scrolling pages. It had a tendency to launch a link unintentionally. Personally, I would always use a mouse.

    HP 15 Laptop PC model # dy1051wm is a very sleek design. Exterior is in a silver mist color metal-like but it feels plastic on touch. Dimensions when closed are 14 inches in length and 9.5 inches in width and less than one inch in height. It is very compact as many other laptops today which is good and it should be easy to carry and transport anywhere. Measuring diagonally, the laptop has 15.6 inch screen in high definition which is plenty for any laptop. It comes also with HD camera located in center above screen and there are speakers on top of keyboard. On the left side there is a power outlet and two USB ports. Right side has one HDMI port, one USB C port, one headphone outlet and one SD card reader. Underneath the laptop there is a vent system for cooling. Inside it comes with Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB system memory, 16 GB Intel Optane memory, 256 GB of storage in solid state (SSD) and Microsoft Windows 10 Home. According to manufacturer, the battery is designed for all day long usage but it doesn't state exactly how many hours it can run before it runs out of juice. Mine arrived with missing/corrupt file error code: 0xc0000225 and it showed on the screen that the PC needs to be repaired. I had to go thru different steps in order to fix the problem. It should not be like that on a brand new computer. I think overall it is nicely designed laptop but HP needs to do more quality check not only on outside of their products but also on system before they ship them to retailers or customers.

    Good laptop
    First Hp I've owned. Comes with windows 10, Intel 1.0 ghz cpu, 8gb RAM and a 237g hard drive. It's very light, thin, and easy to set up through voice interaction. It's not a gaming computer by any means but would be good for a student to write papers, do some research, or surf the web.
