perfect!!!!
i run this laptop 2 days at a time on a video game and it does great. absolutely no space on it, though. you would want to purchase an external hardrive for much of anything. beautiful pink color i love it. it keeps a charge for about 5 hours at a time.

Slow. Microsoft S mode is impossible to get around
I really wanted to like this laptop. It was pretty and pink and a manageable size. Unfortunately, the setup took so long because you have to suffer through Cortana and then you also have to figure out how to disable Microsoft s mode. This means that you have to give up your phone number and an email and do an email verification. To the extent that you have the patience to be successful with that part then you still have to get to an acceptable browser in my case I wasn't patient enough to wait for the workaround so I used Microsoft edge. I accessed my Gmail account. The computer is frustratingly slow. Then I looked at the specs and realized it has the exact same processing power as my cell phone. In fact I think it may have less. I can't see a reasonable use for this computer in my house. This might be suitable for a teen preteen who is just beginning to work with computers and word processing, but if you need more than that this is not the computer for you.

    Good for the price
    Good laptop for the price. However, recently it has decided to shut down at random times, most recent being in the middle of a final exam. Other than that, no problems! And it doesn't get super hot like some laptops do.

    I am not savvy in electronics however setting up was so easy. It came with user friendly instructions that is so easy to set up. I had no problem at all. I will definitely looking into purchase a desktop to complete my home office space!

    Best Computer I've had but wish there was more
    It works so so well and my absolute favorite. Just wish there was more storage and instead of 1ghz, to 2ghz. Would make my work easier and i can fill up my computer with college works and scholarship applications.

    This laptop is amazing. It can multi task and it has a lot of space. It has a little less than 64 gb though. I've been playing sims on it and it works smoothly. I've streamed shows and movies and it's been amazing. Good screen res. I love it and I'm using it for school I'm September. So far it's doing okay with Zoom.

    loving mommy's little laptop
    great little laptop for every day things like shopping, searching, recipes, journaling. at first I didn't like windows s mode. but they've made it to where it's compatible with everything chrome. I'm not into downloading all kinds of apps. I keep it simple. I do wish it had a CD ROM. but I also wish I had more money to buy one with a CD ROM lol So this is just right for me. I can run a hundred tabs and it hasn't slowed down or froze up at all. Keeps a pretty good charge. I like that all the settings are easily accessible and understandable. l Like being able to dim the screen, pairing it with my phone, screen mirroring. I even found some really cute accessories to go with it. Like a hard shell cover, keyboard cover. I don't regret it one bit!

    Great laptop for school or home
    This HP Stream laptop is 14" laptop that is great for work or school. It has a 14" (non-touch) HD screen. I find 14 inches to be the perfect size laptop since anything bigger is really heavy to lug around and 14" is just light enough while still being big enough to watch videos on. It has an Intel Celeron processor which is basic, 4 GB of RAM (not huge) and a 64 GB MMC hard drive (nice). It has Bluetooth which is great for connecting an external keyboard or other devices. It comes with Windows 10 and I like how it starts up really fast. It also comes also with one year of Microsoft Office 365 Personal which on top of the office apps (Excel Word etc) includes 60 Skype minutes per month and 1 TB of OneDrive space. The webcam is nice for having video calls via Skype or Zoom and the battery lasts really long. HP has always been a strong brand and this seems to hold true even with their lower end products like this one. I would not recommend this product users doing intensive gaming or excessive multitasking only because of the processor and RAM, but overall, this is a really strong laptop for anyone using it for school, home, or light work use. And you cannot beat the price! Who needs Black Friday when you can get this price all year!

    An adequate Laptop for students
    Before you consider buying this laptop computer, you need to understand that it is configured with a Windows 10 S-mode operating system. What this means is that you will not be able to install any third party drivers or programs, and that you are restricted to installing apps from the Windows Store only. This particular laptop has been streamlined for performance and security. Since this laptop can only install apps and programs from the Windows Store, be prepared to incorporate a lot of workarounds for this limitation. For example, I could not install my printer's drivers so that I can enjoy wireless functionality and features as usual. Instead, I will now have to plug the printer directly into the laptop's USB port for printouts. Another example involved the popular Zoom app. I downloaded it from Zoom's website and tried to install it, but I couldn't. This was very frustrating, and I had to spend many hours researching this problem until I finally found a workaround. The sound output from onboard speakers is low, but the headphone loudness was good. The built-in microphone is barely adequate, and the laptop's 720p Webcam video quality is poor at best. I joined in on a Zoom teleconference meeting with my family from another state and the video (from my end) lacked color and appeared 'washed out'. At some points it was so grainy that I was hardly recognizable. This was a let down for me because in this day and where the Coronavirus pandemic has greatly necessitated the need for video conferencing technology, I will not likely be using this laptop to host any business-related meetings. I plugged this laptop into my 50 inch Ultra HD LED TV (by way of HDMI ports) and the Youtube videos looked absolutely gorgeous. I was able to stream full 4k movie/video content without any issues. Pros: Fast Battery Recharging Streamlined for Security Great Protection from System Viruses Excellent Battery Life Good for Students (especially K-12) Very Lightweight and Compact Cons: Lackluster Webcam Cannot Install Third-party Apps Low Upgradability No Keyboard Backlights Poor Speaker Quality Not Suitable for 'Power Users' You do have the option to leave or switch off the Windows 10 S-mode. This would then allow you to install the apps that you want to install and, in effect, remove all of the restrictions that are presently on it. However, be warned that this is a one-way street and that you can never return the system back to Windows 10 S-mode. The built-in security feature will also be compromised as well. I would advise against this because the system will no longer be efficient, and the preconfigured 4 GB RAM may actually lower the performance of which it was intended if it was replaced with a more resource hungry Windows 10 operating system. This is most unfortunate because this system could probably benefit from a RAM upgrade, but I was informed by HP that the RAM cannot be increased. However, this is not actually a problem given that this Windows 10 S-mode system has been especially designed and streamlined. There may be also other backlashes and/or consequences too that I'm not presently aware of. My recommendation is clear: if you are a Windows power user and must have third-party apps and programs installed that requires their own drivers then this is not the kind of laptop you want. However, if you are a novice user who requires only a secure but basic system and is also budget minded then this laptop is for you. The low price of this machine represents an excellent value for money and does a good job for what it is intended for.
