Men's Hanes cushion crew socks double tough
I am writing this review with my expectations on what the socks were going to be and not on what the Hanes socks used to be. I think that is what everybody should do when they do go out and purchase these. Is the quality there that they used to be no but that is the norm on no matter what manufacturer you do purchase. My first impression on the socks was they are extremely soft and comfortable. I do think they are a little shorter and not right up the leg as high as they used to be which is fine for me. As far as durability I will have to see. It does state "double tough" but that is pure marketing along with wicking cool cotton comfort whatever that is and don't go with the expectations that these are going to last twice as long or as others as long as the Hanes socks used to wear. After wearing these for one week "not the same pair of mind you" I find these really comfortable and for the price you cannot go wrong. Don't buy these expecting the Hanes that you used to wear back in the day. These are also really comfortable around the calf and not too tight. I would definitely recommend these.

No elasticity right out of the bag
I bought my husband a new pack of socks and every pair right out of the bag seems like there is no elastic in the tops. They will not stay up and he has been putting tape around the tops because they fall down almost instantly. After being washed there is so much lint inside the socks that it is a wonder they don't fall apart. This is the worst bag of Hanes socks we have ever bought. It says double tough durability but they are so thin and no cushion to the cushion crew. His solution is electric tape around the tops to keep them up. I had already thrown away all of his old socks or else I would be sending these right back to you for a refund or replacement. Looks like I will have to find another brand to buy him which for the price Hanes has gone up to I can buy just about any brand and they cost the same. Quality has disappeared from Hanes along with savings so I might as well go to another company. Any one has to be better than putting tape around your legs to get you socks to stay up. You can look at the photo attached and see the top is wider than the rest of the sock.

    STAY AWAY DONT FIT RIGHT.
    Absolutely garbage!!! I cant even get them over my foot. Some will stretch some will not. bought 2 bags. will be returning 1.

    completely wrong
    everything about these socks are wrong. i dont know if I got a defective bag but they are not right. the bottom are way to big and the top part to small. picture is comparison of previously bought sock like this. threw away bag so can return.

    I've worn Hanes socks for year, great socks. These new ones are not staying up on my leg as snug as my old one's and their leaving black lint all over the carpet. My older pairs never did that to me, so maybe they use different different process in manufacturing them.

    HANES YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED THAT YOU ARE NOT TELLI
    I wanted sox with high % of cotton, spent an hour on website these were shown to have 80+% cotton, but when they got here they are only 21%- HANES is not showing the true product content on their web site and hiding the information with a ask a question that has false information that may not even be answers from the company but just site users that are guessing at a answer. HANES YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED THAT YOU ARE NOT TELLING YOUR CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY ARE BUYING!! YOU HAVE BEEN AN AMERICAN ICON WE ALL GREW UP WITH AND I FELT I COULD TRUST YOU---NOT SO---SHAME SHAME

    The only socks I wear
    Comfortable, well-made, long-wearing and price competitive. I buy 12-16 pair at a time. Fortunately, Hanes changes the contrasting color "Hanes" logo periodically so I can sort them out of the dryer. I have a few gifted sock pairs from other manufacturers and none meet Hanes quality or features.

    Horrible feeling.
    Either Hanes has switched the maker of these socks or they have decided the older socks cost them more money to make, these new socks I find totally uncomfortable to wear. I would send them back for refund, but my wife washed them all before I tried a pair of them on. I guess I will donate them to someone in need of crappy socks.
