Really excited about this tool box. I had a metal one when I was married but my husband ran over it. Since then, I've only had plastic; so it's time for a better one. (I noticed the description says it's metal but the actual product label says specifically it's steel.) This tool box first got my attention weighing a little over 6 pounds. When I unboxed it, it was completely bubble wrapped. I felt like a surgeon removing bandages. The easy grip handle is rubber and form fits my hand. I love the security of the latches on the lid. You can hear them clamp into place. The latches are designed to allow a small lock on the box. The top compartment has a depth of 2 1/2" and a length of 20". I put my loose tools in there. The toolbox also has 2 drawers that glide on ball bearings. (If you're planning on mobility with your box the bottom drawers do slide open when you tilt the box forward.) I put my larger tools in the sliding drawers. Each drawer holds 25 pounds of tools!! A drawer easily accommodates my 1/2" drive rachet and socket set. Although it comes with a 5 year limited warranty, a steel tool box could last a lifetime unless someone drives over it.

    good box lid
    Just wish that it had 3 drawers. Every 3 drawer box I looked for was double the price just for 1 more drawer. The lid to this box is better than most as for its shape. Most lids are flat. This is configured for something that may stick up just a little bit more.

    Decent product for the price.
    I was very pleased that it arrived early. It has enough space for my tools. The only issue I had was the lid was bent and the bottom drawer was off its track. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.

    concerning quality; hassle replacement process
    there is a scratch on this new item. This is already the 2nd replacement I got. The 1st one has a drawer that cannot be completely closed. I am tired of having to seek for carton and package and return and get another replacement. So I guess this is it.

    Check the drawers
    The item is okay. It should have been checked before being placed for pickup. The drawers wouldn't easily open. Further investigation showed it looks like it had been dropped and the side was dented in making it impossible to open one and difficult to open the other. My husband refusing to take it back bent the sides back into place.

    Great Medium sized Toolbox
    I love the size of this metal toolbox. Just the right size to keep in trunk of my car. I can get all the most used wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, and pliers in it since it has two sliding drawers to help keep things sorted. The feel of this toolbox is sturdy, but not overly Heavy or Bulky. I think the size is dead on for the average person's most necessary tools. I will be buying another for the wife's car soon.

    Hyper Tough 2-Drawer Steel Toolbox
    Hyper Tough 2-Drawer Steel Toolbox is a great box to store your tools. This toolbox is 20-inches with a flip up lid and 2 drawers for lots of storage. The drawers have ball bearing slides that make for a smooth open and close. This is a heavy duty steel toolbox tough enough to hold anything. The lid latches and needs to be open for the drawers to open too. This toolbox had been a great addition to my garage tool collection but also be stored in the house too.

    I like this toolbox as it organized my basic tools and as they are laying flat, I can see them easily. I like that the upper section has a higher space for bulkier tools. The drawers open and close smoothly even with some weightier tools. It has a handle so it seems it's meant to be carried around. However, after I put in my basic tools: hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches, level, file, small saw, measuring tape, markers, bungee cords— it was too heavy for me to lift.( I'm 64 woman) Weighed about 20lbs. So I removed some doubles and was easier to bring back into the basement. So, I think it's the kind of box that is not carried around by regular people. Maybe a hunk of a Contractor could. But all in all I like it and will just leave it in the basement and go down to easily see and choose my needed tool. All in all a nice, helpful, organized tool for my tools.
