Wonderful
The Build-A-Bear Workshop is easy to do with your child, it was so much fun making these with my daughter. She literally had a blast and couldn't wait to show everyone, it was entertaining and an evening of making memories and cute little stuffed animals.

Stuffing Machine Does Not Work
The machine it comes with to stuff the bears does not stuff them lol . It only stuffs the belly area. You have to stuff the arms, legs and head by hand first. It was a little frustrating because it didn't work as they advertise it should but my 6 year old and her little sister (3) had fun and loved their new little bears.

    Would buy 100 times again!
This was so much fun to do and I absolutely love it! The stuffing came out of the machine very easily and I would just push it back down if it stopped. You definitely have to use your fingers to spread the stuffing in the arms, legs and head so we would do a little stuffing, stop and pack it, then continue. I will definitely be buying this for my daughters friends birthday presents and it would also be a fun thing to do at a friend party!

Skip the Machine-Use your fingers instead!
Don't bother with the stuffing machine, just use your fingers to stuff the animals. The machine is very flimsy and won't fill the arms and legs!

Alright for parent and child activity
its was a cute idea... in theory. in reality, its was alot of work. they are small enough that you have to stop every so often to use your fingers to push the cotton to the legs, arms and head. they are cute mini build-a-bear toys when complete but if i hadn't purchased this while on rollback for a very good deal, i would hve been very disappointed. its definitely a parent and child activity if thats what your looking for or have older children your purchasing for.

I was slightly disappointed because I was expecting three different stuffed animals I have three children and I was planning on giving them each one hoping they would each be different.

    disappointing
This worked out well in my family since I have three daughters. Each of my oldest kids got to make their own animal and then they worked together to make an animal for the youngest. I would prefer for everything to be separate so you can get the stuffing machine and animals separate. I know in my family if there had been 3 animals and only 2 kids there would have been problems about that third animal. This set seems to be limiting its audience, only families with 3 children that all want animals of the same category. I had thought of inviting a friend over to make an animal with us, but she has a son, and he wouldn't have been interested in any of the animal options provided in the kit. My kit had a rainbow bear, pink cat, and purple unicorn. It also came with paper hearts and a plastic case to put the hearts in. There was a little spot to write a wish on the small heart. I would have preferred a fabric heart like you get in the store and some direction for ideas to do an actual heart ceremony. There were also birth certificates included but those were taped together and mine ripped as we tried to get them apart. The bears zip at the back to close. My little kids haven't unzipped it yet, but I imagine older kids could manage to get it unzipped. When we filled the first bear the stuffer kept getting clogged with stuffing. The directions say to turn the crank the opposite way but that didn't seem to really help too much. We would just reach in the stuffer to pull the stuffing back, so it was unclogged. With the second bear we pulled the stuffing into small pieces before putting it in the stuffer. It still got clogged a couple of times but reversing the crank worked to unclog it. We filled the head first, then filled the stomach and used our fingers to push the stuffing into the arms and legs, then filled the stomach again to make it full. As the animal fills up it starts to come off the stuffer making it more difficult to fill, you have to push more stuffing into the arms, legs, and head to keep filling it up. We ended up not using all of the provided stuffing. The stuffer fills extremely slowly; it took about 30 minutes to fill one animal. My kids are young, and this was interesting for them but I'm not sure I could see it being as interesting for an older child. I wanted to just stuff the bear with the stuffing and forgo using the stuffer, would have gone quicker with similar results.
