Great little tent!
Ok, so we actually really like this little tent. At first when we opened it we felt it was a little small. As you can see in the picture. My 3 year old can't stand up in it. Only sit or laying works. But it's great for that. Now when she starts feeling sleepy she can lay down in a safe, bug free spot that is also protected from the sun. She loves it. And it is very easy to put up or set up. It just pops up and is ready for use as soon as you pull it out of it's carry bag. And on a side note, this will also work great for our small dog when it our child outgrows it. It also has a pad underneath that helps prevent sticks from poking holes in it or making it uncomfortable for the child. Well worth the money if you ask us! I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a small child who likes to camp, picnic or go just about anywhere outdoors. We'll take it to the beach also. And our kid likes using it at home indoors also. We will use this over and over again!

good size travel tent
The KidCo PeaPod is a travel bed that folds up into the size of a windshield screen for your car. Be careful when you open it for the first time. Hold on to it tightly because it has a tendency to pop open and spring into the tent shape. The sleeping pad is soft but it is a little thin. If the peapod was placed on a uneven surface, you can feel it through the cushioning. It is also on the outside of the tent, so you should put a blanket under it instead of placing the tent directly on a dirty floor. It is removable if you want to clean it. The accompanying travel tote bag is a nice touch and it is very sturdy. I like that there is essentially no assembly required for the tent. You just need to take it out of the bag and that is it. You don't have to wrestle and connect poles together like you would a normal camping tent. Folding it back up takes a little practice. It isn't the most intuitive way but the instructions are helpful. It comes with pictures breaking down where you should hold and how you should twist.

    Great KidCo PeaPod
KidCo PeaPod is great for camping and has an insect shield cover. When taken out of the bag it pops opens like a jack in the box but, putting it back in takes time and patience. I had to practice a few times to figure out how to fold it back up and place back in the bag it came with. The mattress inside is soft and does not require a blanket to be put on top of because it is soft enough and comfortable enough for the child. Age limit is require from infancy to toddler age 3. It has a small amount of space so it is recommended for babies and toddlers only. The insect shield works great and zips up smoothly and easily. I enjoy using this product for when I went camping over the nice warm week and when I visited friends and family for my granddaughter. I would very much enjoy more products from this company or other companies like the one I am reviewing now. The design is soft smooth and incredibly comfortable and I love the cranberry color.

    Great product. A must have
I received this product almost 2 weeks ago and I've used it almost everyday. First it was hard to get my daughter to get in it she was scared. Maybe if they give it more colors for a girl/boy or neutral with some kind of picture might be more appealing for kids. but overall the product is super good and to myself I think it's a must have it folds really small which is a A+ to me you can put it almost any where . Was a little confused at first on how to fold it up the first time the instructions aren't all that great, but I did finally get it and it's so easy now. (Of course) The material is thin but in a good way I love the material the holes for circulation for air the mesh the padding is a bit on the thin side my it's good enough. The zipper panel is just the right size for a child to get in and out my Five year old daughter fit in it also good for ages 1-5. Fits easily in a large diaper bag just right I was surprised. It's very light in weight and Very well made I would definitely recommend any parent with a small child/baby to get one of these very good for out door gathering/camping just a day/night outside and you want you'r little one in sight and to sleep comfy while you relax outdoors. I just love this product!!!

    Must have for little ones
This Kidco Peapod is wonderful! I have seen this one and others like it online and i have to say it is great for those who like outdoors and those that are on the go. Set up is super easy no tools or taking it apart required! It has it's own carry case and you literally unwrap the elastic band around it and it sets up on its own. Be ware that if your not holding one end it will pop out of your hands and set up which happened when my husband opened it. But it's so light weight no harm at all. I thought it was going to be like my old camping tents with poles I would have to use to assemble and such but no. I was thrilled with how easy this was to set up and pack away. This makes nap time or even play time a breeze when on the go or outside. My toddler is almost two, 34" tall and 27lbs. She will still get a good amount of use out of this thing and I'm expecting twins so I have lots of future use ahead of me. Our family goes camping, to the lake and parks often and this is the perfect addition to our must haves when on the go and out and about. I always brought our pack and play which is heavy and this takes up less space and definitely not heavy at all. I can't wait for the lake! I would definitely recommend this for outdoor activities or even in doors!

KidCo PeaPod is a Hit as Baby Shower Gift
KidCo PeaPod is a Hit as Baby Shower Gift As a 71 year old great-grandmother I was wowed by the Kidco PeaPod concept as well as the featherweight, sturdy construction. What a delight it was to purchase a gift on line and have it exceed expectations and that exactly what the KidCo PeaPod did for me. It is very cleverly designed with both the child's needs and mother's always busy hands in mind. It is intended for toddlers up to age 3. . . .a portable fort, if you will, a place to nap in the park or on the beach. The opening and folding mechanisms didn't even stymie this ol' woman. So, obviously a young mother will find it a snap to manage. It created interest and praise as a gift at the baby shower. It comes will a sturdy zip-up carry case and easy to understand instructions. Warranty is included

A Cute Little Pea in the Peapod
The Peapod would be really great for use as a crib when traveling. I'm hoping it will work as a portable crib on family camping trips. When folded up, it takes up very little room for storage, and will fit in the bottom of your suitcase for plane trips. Some of the reviews I've read suggest that it's not a good idea to have the baby's first experience with the Peapod be while on a trip, as he made need some time to adjust to it and become familiar with being in it. Right now, I plan to place him in it for naps each day, so he'll feel like being in the Peapod is a natural part of his day, and a familiar place associated with sleep. Hopefully, he'll be ready for camping by summertime. So, far, he seems to be very comfortable inside it. The only problem we've run into so far is that the family dog seems to want to join him in his “tent.” It will be great to take him outside with me while I work in the yard. The mesh sides allow for air flow, but will keep out the sun and the bugs. The only negative I have is that it doesn't seem like there is much padding on the bottom.

    Great addition to camping gear
The KidCo Peapod is a great addition to our family camping gear! We do a bit of traveling throughout the year, so I thought this product would be a good idea for our children. I have a three year old son, and he is rather tall for his age. Still, he fits in the peapod with room to grow. So although the age is 1-3, I foresee him being able to use it at least another year. I love that it takes up virtually no space as it easily folds into it's convenient carrying case. This space saver is definitely a must when you're traveling with several kids and space is limited in your car. When folded inside the case, it fits in my suitcase with no issues. Folding it up is actually quite easy,I thought it would be nearly impossible to fit it back into the small bag, but it was actually quite easy with the instructions given, and after one time, I didn't even need the instructions anymore. To assemble, just pull the strap and it pops out, ready to sleep in. I would highly recommend this product for the child in your life that loves adventure.

    Lighter than expected
This portable tent is convenient, but seems like it is more suitable for a baby vs. a toddler. The padding is quite thin, so it's not exactly the best support, if a child wants to be comfortable. It also has directions not to use anything else in the tent, such as a pillow or a blanket or anything else, so I'm unsure how a child is supposed to sleep in it if they are camping. On the plus side though, the toddler that uses it in my house enjoys "camping" inside with it, in our family room on the carpet, in front of the television. So, I guess the real test is if she could actually fall asleep in it. So far, she has not. It's also kind of small for her, but she's tall for her age. I think for now, because it's like a novelty to her, she's enjoying it, but if it came to choosing it to sleep in vs. her crib, I do not see her choosing the floor on that thin "padding". It does have a decent design since the zippers seem sturdy enough, and the carry sack is handy. The material is thin, like the nylon sun cover I use for my windshield in my car. It folds up similarly, too, a little tricky. I did NOT find it easy to put away after opening it. Other than that, I feel the price is a tad higher than the materials they used to make it, but for portability standards, it is rather easy to carry once it's put back in the carry bag.

    What A great Idea
I have two grandaughters that are still tots and thought that this would be a fun way for them to amuse themselves. They absolutely love it! It is like their own little hide out and a great place for them to take a nap. I am impressed with the thought that went into making this item safe and easy to clean. The unit opens with ease and more importantly folds up quickly and with minimum effort. I has a removable bottom pad that just snaps on and off, making it easy to remove and throw in the washer to clean it. The zipper has a velcro cover to protect the little ones delicate skin when crawling in and out of it. They think it is a great plaything, we think it is a great way to keep them where we can see them and know that they are happy and safe.
