Brings my TV experience to life
I never received confirmation on shipping but when it arrived I immediately hooked it up to my LG tv. Installation was very easy I used the optical cable and one power cord for the sound bar, then one power cord for the subwoofer. The Subwoofer connected wirelessly to the sound bar with no trouble. The sound quality is awesome, watching movies is so much better now you can feel the bass! The settings can be adjusted to the users preference with several preprogrammed settings or just tweak it yourself. A remote control is included to operate all functions but my tv remote operates the volume so I can just use one remote for most situations. Super sound
I was excited to check out this sound bar and pair it with my Sony tv. Set up was super simple and the wireless subwoofer paired up as soon as it was powered on. Like most sound bars the remote is pretty basic. I connected the sound bar via the hdmi cable that was included in the box. Ive used this sound bar for basic tv, streaming, gaming and music. The sound quality is good and it fills the room with a virtual surround feel. The subwoofer adds that bass and rumble for those intense scenes and tense moments. Definitely a good sound bar for the moment. The only thing I wish it had was rear speakers, but for what you get it gets the job done. Would definitely recommend this if you are in the market for a sound bar. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

    Packs a lot of punch in a sleek package
    I have to admit I used to be anti-soundbar. I always figured you need a high priced amp and speaker setup to have good sound. This LG soundbar proved me wrong. It's mind blowing how clear the sound is coming from a single bar. I have switched between TV speakers and soundbar and the difference is night and day. Dialogues in movies are so clear its easier to understand whats being said even when there's a lot of action or background noise happening. The sub provides a rich smooth bass and I've actually had to make sure to turn the bass down late at night as I woke up my partner. With HDMI connect I can control everything from my TV remote. The remote with the soundbar is still needed when using the Bluetooth feature to stream music. Bluetooth setup took all of a few seconds and I can even skip tracks using the included remote so I can leave my phone alone while charging. There is also a wireless rear speaker set you can buy from LG for an even more immersive sound. I haven't received mine yet but, if its half as good as the soundbar itself I'm in for a great watching experience and all for a fraction of the cost of some of my old setups. LG has some great products and now I know firsthand their audio line will be where I look first in the future. With the holidays coming up I have been recommending this soundbar to all of my friends and coworkers. In fact I'm ready to buy another one of these soundbars for my home office. *I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion*

    Best High Resolution Surround Sound Bar
    Wow! Im in total awe with my package it arrived and everything was amazingly packaged to not break or scratch. It took me like 20/30 minutes to install it! Supper easy! I set it up on my tv also supper easy. Once I had everything set up, I loved the volume the bass total awesome surround sound like if I was on a theater. Im supper happy that Im able to enjoy movies and amazing sound with my family in these difficult situation the world is. I highly recommend if you want to bring ul your family a home in theater.

    Great sound
    I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review. First impression was wow! I could not believe the sound that comes out of this sound bar. Out of the box you get the sound bar, subwoofer, remote, sound bar rubber feet, mounting brackets and power cables. You will need an optical cable or a HDMI cables. I connected it via HDMI (TV ARC) to my LG TV. It recognized it automatically and my TV controls it as well. I currently have a 5.1 surround sound with speakers mounted in-wall that's about 6 years old. We immediately watched a movie and were all blown away. The sound from the sound bar is so much clearer and the bass is much more powerful. I could not believe how great the sound is. The sound is much more powerful than my in-wall setup. I played some games with my Xbox One X and explosions; pops and every sound effect were all so clear. I also connected my phone via blue-tooth and have played streaming music which also sounds very clear and loud. I do not see myself going back to my old receiver setup since this one sounds superior to the older system. I plan on purchasing the optional wireless rear speakers to complete this setup. I will be moving to a new home soon and was planning on purchasing in-wall speakers again, but I don't think I will be doing that now. I am really impressed with this sound system. I was skeptical with getting a sound bar thinking that my setup was far superior, but my mind has been changed. I highly recommend this sound bar from LG.

    LG is the best sound
    received my sound bar and set it up immediately. It was packaged very well and came in great shape. The moulded styrofoam they use can even handle some rough shipping just in case. I was even impressed with the dense foam they used to encase the sound bar portion. It had a piece up top that perfectly fit into another piece to lock in and secure everything. Right out of the box I was very impressed with the design that features sleek curved lines and hidden controls. Even the freestanding subwoofer is very clean looking and blends well with our decor. Set up was a breeze, you basically just plug in and pair with your television, and once paired the entire system delivers rich sound tailored to your content. Every detail is heard more clearly, music, background noise, and especially dialogue, I have noticed a huge difference in sound clarity and depth of sound with the LG soundbar. I hear details and arrangements in my music/movies that I never noticed before. If you're looking for sound perfection in a sleek audio setup that you can customize to your space I would highly recommend the LG Sound Bar.     An Excellent Sound Bar!
    From the time I turned on my LG SLM6Y 3.1 Channel and 420W total power sound bar, with DTS Virtual X , for immersive dimensional sound and 24 bit/96khz high resolution audio, having already plugged in the wireless rear speaker, was so short, that it seemed almost immediate that the wonderful sound that only LG can produce was coming through loud and clear! You can either connect the system to your television optically or by using hdmi arc. It comes with a very easy to use remote control, is light weight enough to move into place easily. I did receive this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review. I most definitely recommend its purchase and i thank you for taking the time to read my review.

    Perfect Soundbar for a small Home Theater setup
    I have been looking for a soundbar that is not a large one and at the same time could deliver good sound stage. We have a small home theater system set up and I came across LG SLM6Y soundbar and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised that this sound system from LG really met all of my expectations. First of all, the setup was very easy: unpack the box, get your soundbar connected via HDMI cable, make sure to connect to ARC (audio return channel) input if your TV has one and you are set! The subwoofer is wirelessly connected to the soundbar so that is a no brainer. I played some high resolution music files first and it sounded crisp! I also played a couple of Spotify stations and everything sounded so good! This is a 3.1 system and it is perfect for a small room, however don't be fooled by its size, the soundbar delivers great volume and sound stage. I also like that it has a Bluetooth connection and I was able to pair it with my phone and play my library directly from the source. A lot of TVs do not usually have a great sound and this speaker definitely compliments any TV set out there and will add a ton of benefits in the sound area. I would highly recommend this soundbar to anyone looking to enjoy your movies and music at home. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

    Great TV Sound Improvement
    Received my soundbar and it integrated flawlessly with my new OLED TV using the eArc HDMI connection. I can use my TV remote to adjust volume and change bar settings. TV automatically connects to the soundbar when I turn it on providing an awesome sound. It adds a great improvement to my new OLED TV even though my TV has excellent speakers. It definitely improved the sound of the TV. The soundbar voice, movies, and music improved greatly and it is excellent. The only minor improvement I would add is better bass. The subwoofer lacks some bass or power. Although they are some EQ settings on the remote, I wish there was an app with extra EQ to improve the bass.     We were so excited to get this soundbar. My husband was doubly excited. He brought it down to our home bar to set up with our Toshiba 55" TV. Setting it up was fairly easy, a few hiccups, had to use one of the included wires with our TV, but once it got up and running - HOLY COW! Connecting it to Bluetooth was a breeze. The remote is very easy to use and the sound is amazing. This blows our Roku soundbar up in the living room away! The speaker it came with (besides the soundbar itself) is powerful. We watched a bunch of music videos, then some of our favorite TV shows. I finally went to bed at 9 pm. My husband stayed up and cranked the volume to watch more music videos. Thank goodness I use earplugs when I sleep LOL! This was the best buy and is amazing. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.
