I decided to get the Pretend and Play School Set for my 5 year old daughter. She is in Kindergarten and she loves this. It comes with several items, I do not thing I can name it all. It has a dry erase board, a map of the United States, a clock and a blank calendar with the days of the week listed. It lists the ABC’s at the top. At this moment my daughter is out of school for Christmas break, but I can see how this can be very helpful when it comes to doing her homework. It also comes with several stickers, crayons, hall passes, a dry eraser, a hand pointer, pencils, a bell and a grade book. Overall my daughter loves ringing the bell more than anything! It comes with a small pouch on the inside, so that is where she keeps the pencils and crayons. Unfortunately it does not come a dry erase marker. My daughter did play with her friends with the school set and they were really enjoying themselves. I love that it just folds down and closes shut, which makes it an easy to go toy. It brings a real school environment home and it enhances the learning capabilities and improves creativity. I highly recommend this set and I have nothing negative to say about it (only that I wish it came with a dry erase marker). If you have a young child in school, I highly recommend it for kindergarten through third grade.

Great school toy, the kids love it
My 5 year old granddaughter and my 8 year old niece loved playing this together. They played this toy for the first time and stayed with it for hours. Although since it has a bell. they had many recces. But always went right back to it. My niece showed my granddaughter where Disney was on the map, as well as all the other places on it. They were engulfed in this toy and enjoyed it very much. This play school set has hall passes , stickers, report cards, a bell , a pointer like the teacher would use. a place to put all your supplies and Crayons to write on the boards, and an eraser. But I would recommend that the crayons not be used with the white boards. they are hard for the kids to erase . I think dry erase markers would be best . I would recommend this Play School Set to everyone. it's also great because you can fold it up and take it with you. My Granddaughter is 5 and in Kindergarten and she want to play this all the time. Even when she gets home from school.

    Great Pretend Set for Children
Got this set the day after Christmas. Finally got to open and play with my 4 year old grand son. It is a 149 piece set. It includes crayons, dry erase board, note pads, hall passes hand bell, grade book and report cards> It also comes with a US Map to learn where the States are. Also has a World Map and a Weather Map.. The dry erase board has all the abc's and a calendar. We had a very good time looking at the states and pretending we were attending school. He really retained a lot of this information. At the end, I gave him a report card along with some good job stickers. We are going to play again soon.......He really did love it. Told him grandmother he had been to school today. It just folds up and stores under his bed. I give this game 5 stars!!!!!!

Portable pretend school set great for learning
This pretend school set is shaped like a schoolhouse and opens up to three areas of pretend play for preschool or older. It has hall passes, note pads and other activities like a clock at the top to help encourage telling time. I love that you can fold it up and it has a Velcro tab to keep it closed so you can take it with you on the go. My granddaughter was busy for hours with this set so I was very pleased with it and would not hesitate to give this item as a gift because it helps them learn while having fun.

    Fun pretend school
My 8 and 5-year-olds both love this pretend table-top school set. It comes with a lot of great features like a dry-erase board, a cute hand-shaped pointer, a small school bell and plenty of hall passes, report cards, stickers and excellence certificates they can fill out themselves. There are also letter and number worksheets that would be great practice for pre-schoolers. They stay busy for hours setting it up as a school for their dolls or for playing teacher and student. And I love that all the pieces fit into little pockets and the whole thing folds up for easy storage. (You do have to remove the "school supplies" pouch with pencils and crayons in it in order for it to fold up flat. But the velcro attachment makes it easy to pull on and off.) Also makes it easy to carry from one room to another or to bring along on a play date. A friend suggested it would work well as a space-separater at the table when kids are doing homework too! It seems sturdy and well-made, imagine it will last a long time. We have a couple of these Learning Resources play sets and love them.

    Unassigned Homework and FUN
Since both of my Nieces are in Kindergarten, and, Nephew in Pre-School, they were stimulated playing with this Pretend and Play School Set. Because they were familiar with a school-day environment, this set offered them opportunities to role-play teacher and student(s) activities. In fact when the kids played 'school' – it was like unassigned homework (to the delight of their parents) as they went through the calendar, ABC's, practice writing, numbers, and learning to tell time with the classroom clock – everything they were exposed to in class. This school play set allows the kids to use their imagination to expand their learning and teaching activities. Finley and Alydia, my Nieces, added flash cards, for simple addition, phonetic pronunciation, and symbols, to their pretend school, not to mention recess and snack time. This play set is easily expandable based on the various learning activities at the kids school. For instance Finley likes to teach her sister, Alydia, to color and stay in between the lines. She also likes to point out to her the states that Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Bobby, and Aunt Darlene live in. All of the school supplies, crayons, etc., are inexpensive and readily available – you probably already have them in your home. This Pretend and Play School Set is an inexpensive gift that keeps on giving . . .

    Play and Learn!
This Pretend and Play school set comes with a lot of supplies! Pencils, stickers, note pads and more. Useful for other things like writing in notebooks and coloring in coloring books. The map is super cool! Clear to see with bright colors. My daughter Caycee loves the bell it comes with, she uses it also while having tea parties. She really loves the pointer also. She points at everything all around the house. I wish the white board was a little bit bigger but it's really cool how it folds up to be put away. It's slender and flat which, I was expecting it to be and it fits behind doors and tight spaces easily. With all the supplies that it comes with, it cleans up very easily and quickly. I love the clock that sit at the very top, reminds me of school. My favorite thing about this Pretend and Play School set is that it can be utilized to actually learn real things even though it's meant for play. My daughter is 4 years old and is not yet ready to grasp all the different things the toy has to offer but, it's great that she can grow with it and I'll be excited to see her learn to tell time and get familiar with a map. I remember playing school as a kid and having lots of fun. Very cool ply set!

    Great portable toy
What I love the most about the Pretend and Play School set is that it is compact and can be completely put away when my daughter is done playing. It folds up and there is a place for every part so nothing goes missing. My only suggestion would be to purchase a dry erase marker, or Learning Resources could include a small one in the set. My 8 year old daughter loves to play school. This set provides everything from pretend report cards to math worksheets to weather maps for the little teacher's imagination to run with. The pointer is well made, durable and can used for many other things like reaching for the hard to get toy under her bed. The tri-fold set is relatively sturdy, though we found our "strict" little teacher could use a prop behind her white board for those times when she is "redirecting a student to pay attention to her lesson."

    Good Learning Tool...Fun Play
Got this for my granddaughter, who is in kindergarden this year....she really loves school & her teacher. I thought this would be the perfect gift for her since she loves pretending play time. It comes with 149 pieces that each have a pocket to keep them in. Also, folds up for easy storage. Kids need more toys like thi to develope their skills and learn in a fun way. I don't think they left out a thing......gradebooks, report cards, crayons, hand bell, eraser, worksheets, awards, maps, calendar, hand pointer & etc. I am very happy with this simple way of learning and would recommend it highly as a good product for younger children. I know she kept going and playing pretend school....that tells me all I need to know. Thanks to Walmart.com for great service and having these good products on line...very happy!!

    Excellent Product!
My 4 year old (like most 4 year olds) absolutely LOVES pretend play and loves to play "school". This set is PERFECT for her. I gave it 5 stars because she loves it and I have no major complaints. Here is my breakdown: Pros: Compact- Its compact and I love that it folds into its own carrying case. Going to visit the grandparents? Going on a play date? Take it with you. Yellow Case- There is a yellow storage case that is detachable. All of the pieces can easily fit in it to make traveling with it easier. I love that she doesn't have to worry about anything sliding out of the traveling case when walking around with it. Storage Pockets- The storage pockets are big enough to include other flash cards when your child has used all of material that comes with the product. Cons: (Very very very minor) Dry Erase Markers - They need to be purchased separately. They don't come with the product but its an easy fix. There is so much for them to play with they won't miss it initially. Holder For The Pointer- Is not very secure. The pointer won't slide out when folded up, I just wish it was made to hold the pointer a little more securely. Again, not a biggie.
