My new IdeaPad 3 (15”, AMD) laptop
I'm 78 years old, and computers can be quite the challenge, but my new Lenovo is a wonderful surprise for It's ease of use. I did have all my information transferred from old computer by office supply store I purchased it from but when I got home with it I just turned it on and was the easiest newly purchased computer I have ever received. I absolutely love it and would highly recommend it to anyone

Be careful with walmarts "about this item" tab
I gave 1 star because of walmarts ridiculous disclaimer under 'About This Item' "We aim to show you accurate product information. Manufacturers, suppliers and others provide what you see here, and we have not verified it." as this is an item both shipped and sold by walmart and not the manufacturer they should really pay more attention to the products details and take some responsibility. This laptop DOES NOT have an IPS panel as listed by the display.. It actually has a TN panel (as shown in the photo of the box) IPS screens have more vivid colors and better viewing angles than TN TN screens don't usually have the best color accuracy or viewing angles despite the fact that the screen information was wrong, this is a good performing laptop for the price. 5/5 for value

    Love it !!!!!
I love it. Glad I bought a laptop with a slightly smaller screen. It's really great looking with the stainless look. Easy to work with and it is much lighter than the 330.

    A $400 steal
This thing is a screaming deal at 399. A Ryzen 5 3500u with 8gb of ram, a 1080p display and a 256gb nvme ssd, it was a perfect laptop for my daughter. Physical construction was way better than expected. I had assumed the blue sections were going to be cheap blue plastic. But to my surprise, they were brushed aluminum. At this point I'm considering buying another for me as well. It's a great size, super lightweight, the screen is even decent. Just dont forget to download AMD Adrenaline and let it install all of the drivers you need. My only issue was that windows 10 key had apparently been used by someone else. So had problems activating it. The Lenovo customer service was useless, so I was stuck with working it out on my own. Eventually I did get it activated and for 399 I can forgive it, but that shouldn't have happened. If you can get it for around 400, it's a surpringly great laptop.

    Great Hardware, Cheap Screen, Upgradeable.
So I bought this for $399 on sale. I would not recommend at full price but anything around $400-500 is a decent deal. The main thing this has going for it is the Ryzen 5 3500U processor. The manufacturer claims you cannot upgrade the RAM pass 8 total. But I can confirm I upgraded it with swapping out the 4 GB stick for a 16 GB stick. Just make sure its the same 2666MHz frequency. You can upgrade the SSD to a 2080 size so I threw in a 1TB SSD. Lastly I swapped out the cheap wifi card for a nice wifi 6 card. The main draw back is the screen. Its not too bad once you install the graphic drivers from AMDs website. But you can definitely tell they saved money on this build with the screen. Make the upgrades and this thing is solid for light gaming. Decent hardware, cheap screen. The Almond color is more of a gold and isn't that bad. Blue seems better but its always out of stock. (PS it comes with bloatware so delete that immediately)

    A Great Choice
After weeks of researching laptops that would suit my requirements, I arrived at the Lenovo's IdeaPad 3. I needed a machine that had more than a basic set up - memory & RAM-wise. This laptop can support both my work and my games with ease. I love the aesthetic of the laptop. The lid is shiny and does not accumulate fingerprints. The bottom is a matte, space-tech looking texture. The laptop is pretty light, but still feels substantial. The keyboard is ergonomic; I can type faster than ever before. I'm not kidding, it's a smart layout. I love having a number pad too. The jacks are pretty tight; when plugging into the USB ports or plugging in the charging cable. It is a little tough, but I imagine with time, it will become more comfortable. The display a matte touchscreen, I have no issues with it. The track pad is responsive and works really well, but not great for Minecraft or any program needing quick movements - I may need to play with the settings for that. After reading reviews, I noticed the laptop may be prone to overheating during extended heavy use. I plan to buy a stand with a fan for when I want to spend a few hours playing Sims 4. I have to mention... I have dreamt of playing Sims with high graphics since I started playing it in middle school. I never had a laptop that could support more than the minimum. The IdeaPad can run Sims 4 and all my expansion packs flawlessly with the highest graphics settings. I'm impressed and satisfied. Windows 10 is great to have since it's the most updated Windows operating system. I probably prefer the Control Panel for changing settings, but the Settings interface is great for all the basics. I despised the tiles until I realized you can customize what is displayed, and also click and drag them to rearrange them. My only complaint is that the OS is sometimes unresponsive; Occasionally, when I click along the Taskbar to maximize a window for example, it will not do it. When this happens, I wait a minute and try again. I'm hoping this is a software fluke that can be corrected with an update? It doesn't seem like a hardware issue. Overall, I am happy with my decision. I think this is a great choice. It suits my needs and the price was right.
