Poor Quality Control
The bracket on the pole brace was not drilled correctly. The holes were staggered instead of lined up, so the bolt could not pass through. This is one of the last steps after assembling the entire mount. I skipped to that step as I already had the assembly and just needed the pole mount. Otherwise I would have spent 3-4 hours at this point, then had to disassemble to return the equipment. Now I have to wait for the return and replace process.

    So far, good and solid.
    So far, so good. It seems very solid. I mounted it on an old post with the old backboard - it took a bit of modification to attach to the old backboard, but it worked well. It took a few hours to read directions, assemble, and install. The post or mounting position needs to be at least 9' tall to get the rim to 10'. I haven't used the adjusting mechanism to it lower yet. It was delivered a day later than stated, but free shipping still came in 5 days.

    Wall Mount Backboard Adjustable Bracket
    Bought this to mount a backboard that was adjustable to the side of our shed. Directions were ok, because of my situation I had to make a few adjustments, but worked great. I beefed up the mounting surface with a 2 x 8 pressure treated board lag bolted into a post and purlins on a pole barn. Mounting is solid and Adjusts up and down easily, our granddaughter loves it and it will be able to raise as she grows.

    Double Duty Birthday gift.
    I originally purchased the lifetime shatter proof backboard and net & totally forgot about a bracket until my daughter inquired about it......ha ha....Bracket arrived within a week of the net. Great gift for my two grandsons who both have a birthday within a month of each other. I'm certain they will get years of enjoyment out of it....     Great value for the money!
    Multiple adjustment points to allow your child to grow into shooting to the 10' height. Follow the directions and you should have no problem installing this unit on a side wall or pole. It fits perfectly to a Lifetime backboard. The only item a little difficult to install was the two star style washers that you push on a 3/8" pivot pin to hold it in place. I bought a two cap style retainers at a hardware store for under $1 that are easier to install.

    Great mount for basic use of beginners/amatures.
    Great mount, but wish the price had been a little lower. Should have entire kit with the mount in it. The portable systems are sold with mounts and all encluded. You can purchase the rim separate or rim and backboard. Why not rim, backboard and mount? Satisfied with product regardless, just didn't care to have to spend that much more because it was separate from backboard set.

    Does what it was meant to do.
    This mounting kit is relatively expensive, at about half the cost of a complete set that includes base, post, backboard and rim. But for the price, you get parts and hardware that are heavy duty steel. There is only a small amount of side-to-side play. Otherwise, the only flex comes from the post I attached this mount to. My only concern are that some of the bolts and screws don't appear to galvanized or even zinc plated. I expect they'll start to show some rust after one winter.
