NICE BOOST TO EXISTING INTERNET
This is a nice addition to our existing internet. Before this was installed our internet was spotty at best. After we installed this product we had even internet throughout the house. The installation process only took about 15 to 20 minutes to set up with easy to read step by step instructions but, patience is a virtue. I also like the fact that the wi fi boosters are in a sleek white color so they don't stand out they actually blend really well with my décor. I am pretty pleased with the functionality of this product and definitely recommend it for all over home wi fi.

Can't get to work
We were super excited to receive this product as part of the Spark Reviewer Program. Our current wifi router can be a little slow, we were excited about upgrading. Unboxing the product was easy and a speedy process. It comes with a little hand out that shows how to quickly get your new wifi router set up and running. We followed the instructions, plugged the main box directly into our Ethernet cable and downloaded the linkseys app on our ipad. We pushed the button to sync and waited and waited. It popped up with an error message saying it was unable to connect. We tried this process over and over and never succeed. Wondering if perhaps the issue was that our old router was also a linkseys we disconnected the old one and tried again with the new one. No luck still! Called customer service, on hold forever and they were not able to help us either. So could possibly be a great router if you can get it to work and connect for you. Unfortunately were were never able to get it to work so now we have a great pair of white bookends.

    The LinkSys Velop Whole Home Wi-Fi exposes one of its main drawbacks right of the bat as I began setting this up for my Spark Review. The idea of a 'whole home wi-fi' is perfect for a user that uses wi-fi exclusively for mobile devices in the home. However, my home setup includes 2 wired TiVo DVR's, which I could no longer use if I left the Velop set up. For the sake of the review, I followed the setup instructions and disconnected my TiVo's temporarily. The instructions included with the Velop were self-explanatory and fairly simple to follow. Once the hardware was hooked up, a quick 5-minute call to your ISP finishes off the setup and you're up and running. As for the performance, there's nothing special that I noticed as far as increases in streaming speeds or improved results on speed tests (via SpeedTest.net). The performance was solid though. I attached 6 tablets and Roku's to the new wi-fi network, and all devices performed well without buffering issues. All in all, this device is not something we'd use in our home, but it's not because of the design or performance. The consumer needs to keep in mind that, if any device in the home requires a wired connection to work on the network, this is not an ideal in-home network solution.

    Welcome Addition for Internet Users
    I received this item from the Spark Reviewer program and was asked to provide an unbiased review. The Linksys Velop AC2400 Dual-Band Mesh Wi-Fi System has been a welcome addition to my home. I only have access one feasible cost efficient internet provider which provide DSL service. The company provides a wireless modem/router with no frills. The Velop system has added some nice features…parental controls, guest access and device prioritization. However, the best feature is better access through the whole house and better speeds. My office is in my basement with the living area on the above floor. The old modem provided good access in the basement and directly above…but, diminished quickly on either side of the main floor. The Velop system allows one module to be plugged into the modem/router and the next module is plugged into a power outlet in another area/floor of the house. The second module connects wirelessly to the first module and continues broadcasting your internet service. The Velop system works if you have a combination modem/wireless router or just a modem. The system is installed by downloading an app to your smartphone and following the simple instructions. The phone app allows you to control the system and makes changes, such as parental controls. The system automatically searches for your best internet channel and uses it to broadcast. The system also allows you to create your own internet name and password. This was not possible with provided modem from my service provider….it was a long series of numbers and letters. The Velop system also connects to my Amazon Echo and will follow certain commands. I have really enjoyed the Velop system. I have found that I have much better access throughout the home, faster speeds and less issues with devices dropping service. The modules/nodes have a nice sleek look, no antennas…and has a LED light on top that lets you know it is working properly. You can also add modules to your system if you find you need more coverage or move to a bigger space. Overall, I would highly recommend the Linksys Velop Mesh Wi-Fi System to anyone seeking a quality wireless router system backed by a quality company. This system has made my internet experience better within my house.

    Great expectation but...
    None in my family is a computer nerd nor do we have a PhD in computer science. We are just your average tech-illiterate family who likes to use our devices. We all were excited when we got the new (to us) Linksys. However, the excitement stopped right there. The set-up was a pain despite the fact that we religiously followed every step. It took us two tries and an hour to get the 1st node going. The 2nd node is still sitting out waiting to be put in. And although out internet speed is 72 MBS, we started experiencing drops in connection. On all the devices. Not at once of course, but still. The promised range is 3,000 ft. NOPE! In reality, it is maybe 35ft before bars disappear and we get interruptions. How disappointing! I am really about to just go and buy the same router we had before and ditch this one. One plus to this system though -- it does look cool.

    Love it!
    This is quite the handy system! The best appeal is the ability to “boost” your Wi-Fi signal in a large home. I was sure I would not like this system; especially since I really like our current Wi-Fi router. I mean: I really like our current router. It's super fast and easy to reset and I love the guest availability. I am not really a big techie guru; but I do like my top of the line Belkin I have currently. And so I received this Linksys to try out. I was pretty sure it was not going to be near as great as my current router! I was immediately impressed with even just the packaging (see photo); it is so sleek and appealing! Then I pulled out the instructions for setup and was even more impressed. This is a true “plug and play” kind of system!! Oh and the app! With every technology upgrade we make (including things like our thermostat) I am more and more IN LOVE with apps! Apps remember all your login info and are so much more user friendly than “old” WIFI websites! We have a small ranch home so we don't necessarily need the POWER of this system; but given the app availability, it is a definite keeper! What an awesome way to boost your WIFI across multi-level homes or very large ones.

    The Best Wi-Fi System We Ever Experienced!
    Hello, I am a Wal-Mart Sparks Reviewer, and today I will be doing a review on the Linksys Velop Whole Home Wi-Fi Dual-Band Series. This is a dynamic Wi-Fi System that covers up to 3000 square footage and for basic internet plans. What I like about this Home Wi-Fi System is that it was easy to install to my internet modem and provides great security. It also requires the in-store app. This app will help you to monitor your Wi-fi System and also set a restriction to certain websites that are not appropriate for children. This is pretty cool especially, if you have a kid like I do. Monitoring for my child's safety is my greatest concern as a parent. We also hooked up the other Wi-fi System and had to use the ethernet cord. Next, we were also able to link the Wi-Fi System to our cell phones, tablets and laptops. This is a pretty cool system which requires no wiring. I love my fast internet speed and the light located at the top of the system that changes different colors to identify what mode the Wi-Fi is in such as: connected, disconnected or weak connection. This is far out the best Wi-Fi System that my family and I have experienced and we certainly enjoy it. There is nothing that I dislike about it. However, I can only say The Linksys Velop Whole Home Wi-Fi Dual Band Series has made our internet connection a lot easier, faster and more enjoyable! Thanks!

    Simple and Easy Method for Improving Wi-Fi in Home
    We have been experiencing issues with the Wi-Fi in our basement so we wanted to try the Linksys Velop Whole Home Intelligent Mesh Wi-Fi system. We got the 2-pack for our 3 bedroom home that is just over 2,000 square feet. Based on where we placed them, we really needed 3 nodes, as the second one we had intended to place in our basement, had problems connecting. However, we placed the second node directly above the main area in our basement and that seems to have improved the issues we were having. The setup of this system is very straightforward. Take the nodes out of the box and follow a simple and concise set of steps to set each one up. As I indicated previously, we did run into issues with setting up the second one, but created a workaround until we can purchase a third node. While using Wi-Fi in our basement, we have noticed an improvement, particularly when streaming videos. The Linksys app is very intuitive and allows you to manage your Wi-Fi directly from your phone or tablet. We especially like the parental controls and device prioritization feature. Overall, we have been very pleased with the Linksys VElop Whole Home Intelligent Mesh Wi-Fi system and would recommend it to anyone looking to improve inconsistent wi-fi in their home while also gaining additional control.

    Node's are Awesome! Easy to Use with App
    I have fallen in love with Node's! Beautifully boxed and securely shipped. These come right out of the box and have a very easy set up booklet to help you with everything. The cords are all wrapped nicely in their own little mini boxes. The instructions tell you to download the app. Once you do this the set up instructions are on the app and take you step by step. This is the easiest electronic that I have ever set up, the app does most of the work. We put one in the living room and one in our bedroom. I have excellent service in our bedroom, finally. Really, Roku says excellent service. My laptop has not dropped internet even once in our bedroom. I love these little nodes. I also love how smooth they look. I bought several different devices trying to boost our wifi throughout our home and nothing worked until we found these! Gotta Love Linksys!

    Works great for our home
    If your home is similar to ours, it means that just about every electronic thing you own is connected to your internet. From watches to televisions to refrigerators, it can all take a toll on your wifi. This set will not help you achieve any spectacular speeds, but it will help you ensure all of your techy wonders can connect without lagging due to poor signal. We have a single story, 2300 square foot, split layout ranch. The master is on one side and the other bedrooms are on the other side of the home. I have a home office in our master bedroom and thus the modem needs to be there to connect directly for fastest speeds while working. However, teenage children mean that they are on the other side of the house using wifi for phones, game systems, clocks, you name it. This set ensures they can get a good signal on their side of the house without a lot of fuss. It is not hard to setup, though you will need to have a basic understanding of how your network works and be able to follow the instructions. Most importantly, you must be able to troubleshoot your own issues - not like a professional but with basic troubleshooting skills such as calling in for assistance or using Google to search for an answer. If you do not have the desire to try and solve any issues it is best left to someone who is and can. That being said, I had no issues at all and I suspect most people will not either. The set is aesthetically pleasing and not overly gaudy, or worse yet, junky and technical looking. It should fit right in with your decor as it is simple and clean looking. I have the white and it looks great with our regular items. Lastly, it comes with some great features for those who like to control their wifi. I love being able to give guests access without giving them full access to the wifi, fewer people clogging up my network. I also love that the software updates itself so I do not have to check on it regularly to make sure it's up to date and run through the updates, less time for this means more time for my family. Speaking of - do you find it hard to monitor your children and teens internet time? This solves that too as you can schedule allowable times to access the internet and even block sites you don't want them on - no more sneaking on social media that you don't want them to have. This set should be sufficient for most people, I rarely come across someone using more than 100mbps at their home. However, if you have a very expansive home - more than 3000 square feet, or if you are trying to compete with the major players and have something insanely more than 100mbps than you would want to go up one grade to the AC4400. For the average home, this fits perfectly and you can even go buy the Alexa as this set is compatible as well!
