    Linksys WirelessG router is excellent for home use
    The only surprise I had was that the router has one frequency, 2.4GHz. The 2.4 GHz frequency of the wifi router offers the wifi user a wide coverage area and is better at penetrating solid objects with a maximum speed of 150 Mbps. The frequency is more prone to interference though I haven't had any issues. Setup was really easy. I use a MacBook Pro and an HP ProBook (windows) laptop as well as a couple of iPhones and iPads. All have connected without issue. The speed of the network is very good.

    Wanted to change some settings and there is no details in the CD. Also a cord was not included as described on box and I was sent two routers and had to return it.

    New router (WIRELESS)
    Bought last week,called for help to install as it came only with a disk to put in a PC! I only own a iPad, I no longer have a PC, the person helping with this problem, spoke in a accent that was not to hard to understand, but all they could do was get it on line,like I told them that’s great but, it says this is unsecured link, I was upset they could not or would not help me with the security of the system, so I hung up took new router off line,put old linksys router back on line had my security back! Now I just need to make up my mind what I want to do with new router, that I have back in box??????

    I am so glad I persevered to install
    I bought this replacement two years ago but couldn't get it to work wirelessly. Well, my previous router WRT54G was dropping signals and generally not working well (8 years old) so I thought I had better give the "new" one a try again. IT WORKED! and I found out what I had been missing - didn't really realize my ROUTER needed replacing - it wasn't my service that was bad. The support pages at Linksys.com are great - you just have to keep reading and clicking to find the right information.

    I bought this to replace one similar to this one that has worked with out fail for 8 years. The only problem I have is that I am struggling to install it every since I downloaded windows 10 still trying to figure out how to resolve my issues with installing
