Awesome
I am very pleased with this new Router from LinkSys. After so many disappointing other brands and devices I think I have found a good one. Easy to set up, I have a moden router from my internet provider and it is really slow and not great, and all I have to do was to plug in the Ethernet cable to one of the ports in my moden-router and follow the quick start guide and it worked good. The 1000 mbps really provides me powerful speed so I could take advantage of streaming HD and browsing very easily. I also acquired a Wi-Fi Range Extender from LinkSys for the blink spots at my home and they work awesome together.

No internet connection
I received Linksys WiFi 5 Router Dual-Band (AC1000) and I'm sadly disappointed. The installation instructions were easy and clear to understand, yet when I checked the internet connection it would not connect. It would say no internet connection to every website. The product does suggest 2 ways to install and I tried both but still no connection. I called the customer service provided but would get a busy signal. I have used this brand before and it has worked great, but this particular product did not. I won't give up on this brand just yet, but on this product yes.

    Just received my Linksys WiFi 5 Router. Upon opening the package I noticed this is a very small compact router with folding antennas. The instructions for setup are very simple and are all onscreen when you connect to the router's IP address. This router is usable with a modem or with a modem/router. I have a modem/router and needed the extra Ethernet ports for my devices. This router also allowed me to have some additional parental controls which my existing modem/router did not have. I recommend connecting the router to a PC by Ethernet cord and then follow the simple on screen instructions to set up the router and any other settings. The router is dual band so you can choose 2.4 or 5.0 bands to suit your device's WiFi needs. The router is very lightweight. Basic black finish. After setup, I ran a speed test to see how it performed, I have to say I'm a little disappointed in the speeds. Both the 2.4 and 5.0 bands clocked in at speeds that were half of what my existing router transmitted. I have cable internet with 150 mbps and I do reach 150 mbps with my wifi 5.0 connection but the Linksys router could only hit 70-80 mbps. This router will do what I need it to but the range and speeds are less than desired. I would probably recommend spending more money and getting a stronger router.

    Linksys Wifi 5 Router
    The Linksys dual-band Wi-Fi 5 router ac1000 is small and very easy to hide or looks fine sitting beside knick knacks on a table or Shelf. The router comes with a quick set-up guide that is very easy to follow making connection very easy. The guide also has pictures so if someone is like me and does not want to read you can still follow the pictures and get it set up without any issues. The router is very fast with 1000 Mbps. The password for this router is pre installed and is on a sticker on the bottom of the router, so no worries about forgetting what password you need to improve on your devices. I have been using Linksys routers for many years, and I'm very excited to have this one for my home.

    Outdated router
    I was excited about receiving this router to replace the one that we use from cable company. I ended up disappointed. Set up was not easy. Most routers have lights to show status such as whether it's connected to internet and if WiFi is working. This one does not have that feature. Only way to tell if it's working is to try and get on internet on a device. To get it set up you have to get on internet which it allows you to do but you can't use it until you complete setup on internet. After setup we used it for a few days. Everyone complained that the wifi was slower. It's supposed to handle up to 1000 mpbs but it does not. Wired internet to the router works fine but wifi has slower speeds. For being a newer router it acts like an older version. It would be okay for a cheap price and a limited budget.In our household WiFi is used for gaming and smart TVs. This router just doesn't seem to handle that very well. Linksys has really good products so I was surprised at the quality of this router.

    Amazing
    My family and I loved this WIFI Router LINKSYS!!! It is perfect and it is helping us a lot in the house with the internet. The internet in my house is incredible after hooking up this router. The design is very pretty, modern and basic. We are now all able to be connected anywhere in the house, couldn’t ask for more.

    Will not set up
    It will not set up to the page to set up the internet. It is nice model and design and very light weight. We was very excited about hooking this up but it will not connect to the web page to hook up. Unfortunately i don’t have a good review to add because it will not hook up to use correctly.

    Got it working
    I am not very tech-savvy but I finally got it. It is working well so far. Everything is connected and working as it should. Although my son's computer is not running as fast as he would like. Not sure if we did something wrong or if there is a way to fix it. The internet works all the way in the living room and his room is closer to the router so you would think it would work better in his room but it doesn't. We do not know much about this stuff or how to remedy it. The phones and tablets are all connected and have no issues.
