Crazy Garden
My neighbor brought us some volunteer cantaloupe from his garden this year. The two small plants started out no bigger than my thumb. We put them in Miracle Gro garden soil and have had a bumper crop this year of amazing fruit.

Moldy soil
Bought 36 bags of the 2 cu ft two days ago. Every single bag has white mold growing between the bag and soil. In some cases within the soil itself. Not sure if this lot was stored for a long time or not prior to sale.
During these times of much higher prices, I will be sourcing subsequent garden soil from local ranchers. No more Miracle Grow for me.
Hopefully this will not contaminate my garden for the season.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/16/2022Great Soil to UseI've been using Scott's and Miracle-Gro soil after the February freeze in 2021. My ixora garden and golden dewdrop hedge died as well as my ivy garden. I never did use soil or lawn fertilizer on my yard but I decided to give it a try. Am I amazed with all the results of Scott's and Miracle-Gro soil. I'm an avid lawn master now. I maintain my own yard when I relied on a gardener. The soil is good for the ground, it is a thick and rich mound of good food for the plants. I mix it with bone meal and a dash of miracle-gro blue pellet food every three to four months.21Charger

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/30/2022Great if I wanted sod.I bought this garden soil to put in my raised beds. I use raised beds to keep from weeding. I bought 25 bags and each one was filled with sod like pieces. Lots of them. Very disappointed.Burebabe

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/03/2021AmazingPlantsMy husband made me a raised garden bed that we filled with Miracle Grow Garden Soil. My tomato plants have grown wild with lots of yummy tomatoes and my sunflowers look like they were planted by Jack and the Beanstalk. They are just shy of 12 feet tall!RD423

I did not find any foreign objects in the miracle grow I can understand the frustration for the other people , this product isn't cheap and should be screened properly. Let me tell you folks my garden is POPPING I have never seen good healthy vegetables from my garden before . Everyone is amazed by the size of the zucchini and cucumbers. 2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/29/2021Turned my plants yellowBut several bags months ago. Planted my garden with starter plants, dug a hole and put in one scoop of Miracle Grow Garden Soil with native soil to top off. The plants started to yellow. I watered the plants heavily over a few weeks to try to dilute what appeared to be excessive fertilizer. Now the plant new growth it dark green, but the plants are growing slow. Can I add Miracle Grow All Purpose Food via a watering can? I am afraid that more fertilizer will kill off the plant after they came back. Kale plants seemed to like this soil as they are growing very well. Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, broccoli plants almost died. Beans not as bad in yellow, but a little. I read on package that you should NOT apply directly to plant? This is garden soil? So in a small separate section I mixed the Miracle Grow Garden Soil with brand new top soil. Those plant are worse off the zucchini is yellow and struggling. The tomato plant is yellow and sickly. What is going on? In a separate area the zucchini I plant is growing well without Miracle Grow soil. About 3 times the size and dark green leaves.Gardener42

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/03/2021Horrible Trashy SoilI am disgusted by this product and will not ever be purchasing from Miracle Gro again. I built some raised beds and bought 5 bags of the garden soil to fill the beds with. When my husband and I opened the bags of soil, we found what looked like remnants from a landfill. Chunks of glass, plastic, candy wrappers, wire, and scraps of rubber were just a few of the items we found. The glass is particularly concerning as my goal was to have our young daughter help me in the garden. This seriously makes me wonder what their process for making this soil is. Should I really even be growing food in this?MorganM

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/06/2020Wonderful product and great shipping. My soil around the house has a lot of clay and I needed the soil to transplant (5) five avocado trees. Unfortunately, when I took the trees out of the planter, the soil around much of the root fell off. I immediately mix the Miracle-Gro soil and mix it with the existing soil. The same thing happen to me with all five trees. Too my great surprise, all of my trees made the transplant and are thriving. Each bag was individually boxed separately and the arrived in great condition. I would recommend MiracleGro and Wal-Mart Online to gardeners out there.RioGrandeValley
