Toasty Warm Heater
This is a really nice heater to have,I have it set up in my family room because it can get cool and drafty in there,It does not disappoint,it heats up to 1000 SQ ft,so this heater has a built in thermostat and I kept it on low setting and it was toasty warm,you can purchase an optional blower but for my needs I don't need one,to hook it up you need a gas line with a shutoff valve,and the rest is easy to set up,my handyman who has knowledge about gas lines had no problem installing,always make sure you check for gas leaks,just follow the easy instructions,there is no need for electricity with this,just an AA battery for the igniter,what I love about having this installed is if I ever lose power,I can use this as a heart source and keep my animals warm,it comes with a very sturdy wall bracket if you want to hang up,I have mine freestanding,it is a nice looking heater and the blue flame is relaxing to look at,I'm really happy they came out with this product,it's vent free and safe,also has an oxygen sensor,and I can use this just to heat the main room I'm in saving energy,love it!

    Great additional heat source for our open basement
    Mr. Heater 30,000BTU Vent Free Blue Flame Natural Gas heater is a great economical additional heat source for our basement. Our basement is not finished, with concrete walls and floors even though we have heat ducts in our basement they are located overhead in the ceiling/floor joist. Because heat naturally rises we don't get a lot of warmth in our basement. This heater gives us the option to supplement our heat when using the basement. Because this is an open flame heater, it is recommended that you do not run the heater while unattended. My husband who has many years in working in building maintenance installed this in our basement. Because you are working with NATURAL Gas, it is best left to a professional to do the install if you are not familiar with working with gas lines. My hubby insists that the included instructions be followed exactly for the obvious safety reasons associated with working with natural gas. This heater does NOT include the needed additional gas piping/shut off required to do the installation. Following your gas code for your location is paramount. This heater is equipped with an electronic manual igniter. This requires one AAA battery (included) it is located under the (RED) igniter cap I am looking forward to using this heater this winter as a supplemental heat source. This model does not have a blower fan but does offer the option to purchase one you can install yourself this is most likely what we will do just to help disperse the heat more evenly. If interested the blower kit # is (F299201). The only thing my hubby didn't care for is that this does not have a handle to carry it as it is awkward for one person to move on your own. Overall this is an affordable way to supplement your heating needs.

    The temperature is currently miserably hot but in a month or two, when it is freezing outside, this Mr. Heater 30,000 BTU Vent Free Blue Flame Natural Gas Heater will be very much appreciated. It was fairly simple to test the unit using the included plastic feet. I appreciate that Mr. Heater included the feet since I may need to use it in a different house this winter since the furnace broke. Using electric space heaters last winter tripled the electric bill. As of now, natural gas is still much cheaper to heat with. I am currently remodeling and plan on permanently attaching the heater to the wall with the included bracket later on. This item includes the wall bracket, feet, screws and a battery for the push button starter but nothing else is included. Luckily I found a gas line and some parts from an old gas fireplace. Depending on your application you may need to purchase some black iron pipe or natural gas line, a shut off valve, tape or compound specifically designed for gas, and some tools. Mr. Heater sells an appliance hook up kit that includes a gas line, tape, the connectors and valve if you need it. Remember to test for gas leaks before starting the unit! If you do not feel confident doing the work yourself you might want to contact a professional since gas can be dangerous and cause an explosion. For the short amount of time that I tested the appliance it seemed to do what it is supposed to do which is ignite and keep you warm. The first time you use the heater you may need to keep the pilot button pushed in for a minute and try it a few times until the gas gets through the lines before it will ignite. Then just turn the knob slowly to increase the flame or heat output. Overall, as long as this item keeps lighting and doing what it is supposed to do it should be a blessing this winter. I highly recommend this to keep warm.

    Not too heavy to carry and place where you'd like or has the option of mounting it on a wall. We use ours in a 24'x24' workshop. It takes a very short time to heat the area. It starts simply with a push of a button and the heat is adjustable. When adjusting the setting to low it doesn’t cause the flames to flicker. We also like the fact it actually has a built-in thermostat. This is a ventless heater and works great in a larger room for proper ventilation. It is fairly quiet for a propane heater. A small size propane tank should last about 2 days when having this heater on a medium-high for about 8 hours each day. This particular model does not come with a blower but one can be purchased if you find it necessary. The legs that come with this heater are sturdy and keep the heater standing upright and difficult to knock over. And because it’s portable it can be taken outdoors on your porch or patio.

    Nice Heater With A Sleek Look!
    I wanted to be able to heat the garage where I tinker with older cars as a hobby. I usually can't go out there much in Winter cause it's too cold. I got this unit delivered, and it came in well packaged (no damage) I wanted to install this , or try to on a pallet. That way it can be moved around the shop. The install was easy, and being able to hook up to propane was life saver. You can just use a propane tank, and refill as needed. It is summer, but it heats up well after install. I can adjust the temp with ease. I would have to say this unit is well made, and worth the $ Highly Recommend!

    Warm and Toasty!
    I have not yet unboxed this heater as I am 70 years old and need help with it. It's heavier than I expected it to be. I inspected it as well as I could inside the box and it appears to be well constructed and an attractive appearance. I am including photos of the heater and control knob from the product information page. I have had other Mr Heater products and am confident this will perform well for my needs once I get it out of the box and properly installed. The installation seems like it will be a little more complicated than I expected as well and I will probably need to purchase some additional components before I can install it. I expect to spend about $75 or so for these additional components and may possibly have to hire someone to install it. I am not in a hurry to get this installed, as it is still summer and the additional heat is definitely not yet needed. I will be happy to update my review once I do get it installed and the weather gets cool enough to give it a good test. If you see this review in the colder months and there is no update, I got it successfully installed and it's working beautifully!

    This propane heater has a lot to offer. An impressive list for certain. It certainly does put out a lot of nice warm heat and that will most certainly feel great during the cold months of fall and winter. This heater has a capacity to heat up to 1,000 square feet. This heater has an electronic ignition which is simply nice because who wants to manually light this unit before each and every use? The heater has a built-in thermostat and the heater does not require electricity to operate or to function. The heater is safe for indoor use and requires no additional venting to the outside. Additionally there is a low oxygen safety shut-off. One can mount the unit to the wall or if you prefer the heater can be freestanding and there is feet and hardware included if one uses that option. There is an optional blower fan kit one can purchase separately. At midnight or one or two in the morning it is still 80 degrees inside my house so I have to wait for much cooler weather to really put the unit through its paces. I have no doubt that this heater will perform beautifully. The unit works properly for the initial test drive and no doubt continue to impress. Of course, please follow all the safety procedures and cautions and make sure everything is connected properly so that there is no danger to humans or buildings.

    We got the mr heater professionally installed, we used it at night time over there weekend and it was perfect on low setting. It warmed up our den and the floors are usually very cold in there even in the summer. We have mild winters I think this will be a great space and money saver over buying wood for the fireplace. Now we can just set the temperature level and forget it. It’s sleek looking too. The instructions were lacking but the handy man installed no problem. So far we are impressed!!!
