Wal Mart - Plainview, TX
Not a bad review on the product because I refuse to use a used router that was sold to me as a new product. It was also the last one on the shelf at the Wal Mart in Plainview, TX. Wal Mart shouldn't put used items back on the shelf to sale. The router had been obviously used. The box and instructions sheet was also written on the with someone's wifi info. Come on Wal Mart you can do better!!!

    Product may be good- I just set it up and it thus far is fast with strong signal. BUT Clearly the router was previously used by another consumer. Walmart did not advertise it as an open box or return, etc. It was purchased as a brand new router. It was not sealed and the plastic bag inside was torn open. I had to reset the router to get it back to factory default settings so I could configure it. Router admin p/w had been changed. When I attempted to register the product at Netgear I was unable to do so since the S/N had been previously registered. So.... Walmart, although this product was on sale I do not feel it was accurately listed as brand new vs. open box or refurbished or return, etc.

    Netgear means both reliability and quality!
    Netgear has always been a brand that I know I can trust and will do the job they promise. Want a product that is easy to set up even for a first time user. But if you do need help they will go above and beyond to get it resolved. The app you use to monitor the wifi router looks very sleek and powerful. And the router looks like a piece outer space technology. But what it will do for your home or business internet setup is the real selling point. Security, reliability, ease of use and all at a great price. You cannot pass up this opportunity nor what using this product can do for you.

    Great Router. Use your own Ethernet cable though
    Great router! Had excellent settings and easy to set up. The nighthawk app is great. Fast, and can accommodate many wifi connections. (i have security multiple gaming systems, phones, tablets etc) The ONE issue, and this is a small one but wanted to bring it up incase it happens to others. Dont use the ethernet cable that comes with it, or get a spare. i started to have internet problems. and i thought it was my modem. I ordered a new one (tested some things but did not think of a brand fairly new cable, that has not been touched since set up) Finally, i replaced the eithernet cable with my original. Bam. Internet speeds back, and no more drops. Must have burt out or something? I have had my prior cable for 10 years, so never expected that.

    lightning fast and easy setup.
    awesome product and very easy to install. it even allowed me to alter its username and password to my old routers ones so i didnt have to reconnect every device seperately, once installed all my devices that were connected to my okd router connected automatically. i also have the nighthawk docsis 3.1 gigabit modem. and subscribe to a gigabit internet service.

    I bought this to replace another Netgear router that I've had for five years or so. I have been very impressed with the performance difference. I did not realize the lag with my previous router, but now I could not go back. One feature I like is that it automatically selects 2.4G or 5.8G for each connected device based on performance. With my old router I would occasionally need to switch between the two manually. Overall a great product.

    The router is super easy to setup and has very good range. I still have wifi now all the way to my yard when I'm cutting my grass or doing yard work. Plus has super fast internet speed. So no more buffering or interruptions like my old WiFi connection. A plus for sure

    Don't waste time.. just buy it.
    We had a linksys and it was trash. Internet would go in and out, work one minute and not work the next. It was horrible. I bought this router because of the price and I'd had one for years before power surging took it out. I live in a cabin behind the house the router is in. I have a great and steady connection through 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and about 20ft of carport. It's coming through all those walls and I still don't have any lag in my online gaming. We have 3 Rokus streaming, wifi camera system, an Xbox, 4 iPhones and an iPad all connected. Even with all TVs streaming I'm still able to play multiplayer games with little to no lagging at all. Setup was super easy and fast. The app has great features. You literally can't beat this for the price… just get it. I'm adding a picture of current speeds.

    It does what it says, I'm 65 and at peace, whole
    I like all the services offered but not 100 on the cost in a year for more protection. I learned an easier way to make sure my VPN working. I'm pleased, so far, how Netgear/Nightwak is working on my behalf that I'm not sure how to use by myself. I'm 65 retired and not completely good with today's technology.
