The Nighthawk Pro XR300 powered by netgear is a very good gaming router not only does it enhance wifi but it also enhances game speeds and download speeds as well highly recommend the XR300

Router App
The router itself is pretty decent for the price, but the app that you have to use with it is absolutely horrendous. The app is literally broken and does not let you even use it. I've tried contacting support but nothing happened.

    Great, my connection no longer keeps dropping.
    Love it. It reaches all my rooms and my connection no longer keeps dropping. The TV looks better then ever and I just using an antenna and WiFi.

    Reliable performance
    NETGEAR produced a viable networking WiFi router for a small office with this XR300. This may be designed with a gaming intent; however, its performance and security having proven to be more than adequate for our office network.

    It is great but...
    I have been using this router for about a month or so. We used it on LAN mostly and it's been great until later. It started to slow down a bit but I am not entirely sure it's the router. I love the features it comes with. Guest WiFi and two different access to WiFi, 2.4GHz and 5GHz.

    don't buy netgear
    Netgear is a PoS. This router occasionally assigns a 192.168.1 address to the WAN and everything breaks. Never had that issue until I got this router and searching Netgear forums shows that the issue has been showing up in their products for years.

    Avoid this router, will become useless in weeks
    Very unstable. Worked fine for a few weeks and then the speed slowed down. Reset the router twice and speeds were very slow. I have 500 megs and this router reduce the speeds to 15 to 20 megs, even after reset. This is a horrible router and will become useless in a matter of weeks. I read another review with similar issue and the review is correct.
