Amazing Purchase
So much easier then using a burner fondue pot! The ability to adjust the temp on this electric model is fantastic and has made for some fun family nights.

no temperature setting
ordered two for our annual new years eve family fondue. turns out these only go from off to 210. so boiled the cheese and couldn't fry the tempura. if I can find the boxes in the rubbish bin I will be returning them if not will just toss in scrap bin. would not recommend.

    We like the electric pot. No open flames to deal with. We melted cheese. Clean up was so easy a Caveman could do it. A well worth it purchase.

    Lowest heat setting is a boil... skip!
    It is a great size for a fondue pot and it's nice it comes with the forks as well. However- something is odd about it. On the lowest possible setting, our cheese still boils. It was very hard to keep the cheese hot but prevent it from overcooking. I'd skip this pot and find an alternative.

    Easy to use and clean
    This is a nice fondue pot for the money. The cord is short which makes it difficult to keep the fondue hot while serving - that might be a safety issue. The best feature is that cleaning it is a breeze. Both the chocolate and cheese fondue just slid right out to clean it.

    Pretty Fondue Pot
    Attractive design, BUT a bit too shallow of a pot design for keeping shrimp SUBMERGED while frying and a LID would have been nice too. Had to replace a similar unit we'd used for years and a very similar styled leg design that had finally broken making it unsafe to use with such extremely hot oil.

    Temperature settings do not work. Save your money!
    Just received my Oster fondue pot yesterday. I planned a fondue night for its arrival, so I was pretty excited when it came. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as "warm" on this device. The temperature control shows the setting from warm (100 degrees) up to 400 degrees. I bought this fondue pot for making cheese dipping sauce. To my surprise, the warm setting was over 300 degrees when I tested it with my thermometer. I tested it because it was boiling everything and it didn't make sense to me. My cheese would have been burnt if I had walked away for more than a minute, so everyone beware. This product does NOT have an accurate temperature control and ONLY boils whatever you put in it, even if you set it to warm. This was very disappointing to me since I had absolutely zero intention of boiling anything in this fondue pot. Even at restaurants, fondue pots are never rapidly boiling anything. This is not a fondue pot, rather a boiling pot since that is all it can do, and all it will do regardless of whether you set the temp to warm or 400 degrees. It is all the same temperature pretty much. Do not waste your money in this. For an extra $10 you could get one that actually keeps a consistent temperature. I will be returning mine since it is falsely advertised and does not work properly.

    DIY Melting Pot Quarantine Anniversary
    We purchased this for our anniversary dinner. We love going to the Melting Pot restaurant, however, with the Pandemic and stay at home orders that where in effect in March and April, we were unable make it there. This fondu pot allowed us to recreate the experience at home and it was a fun experience to do together at home. There are Melting pot copy cat recipes on pinterest and they are amazing and easy to do.
